I don’t think Chase leaves, I think if Kawi makes a play for Jo, the team is Chase & Jo and the new Kawi leadership does everything they can to make champions again.

Where would he go? I don’t think he’d be a good fit at STAR with how he’s been at his last 3 teams, Chase doesn’t seem much like a team player and at STAR you gotta do whatever they want you to do.

Could you imagine if Chase did go to Star and has some lack luster results and Bobby benches him? Would never happen, but everyone said he was going to be back to 2022 dog fight Eli Chase when he got on the Kawi too.
There was a thought that he was trying to get Star in his corner and use them to assist in getting him out of his contract, similar to Prado using KTM to assist in getting out of his Kawi contract. The problem is KTM wanted Prado, there’s nothing to indicate Star (or anyone else) wants Sexton.
Totally out of left field, but if Mookie doesn't ink with the Pipes team on the Suzuki...I can't think of another team that would be so diligent about making a top rider comfy on their bike. I mean, they sure did it with Kenny "Mr. Picky" Roczen! I personally think Chase might get along great with that team/bike.
I thought the same thing but it's tough to tell, honestly. Kenny has mellowed out and though he definitely likes what he likes, I think he's gotten more reasonable. I'm not convinced that Chase is at a point where he can be content with any bike.

Yep. He’s 33 this year. For reference, Roczen is 32, Tomac is currently 33.
Chase is stall prone. Not a good fit for a team with a bike without an estart.
Can you imagine Chase having to kickstart a bike after he fell down? He would probably quit racing.

This is probably a great move for Kawasaki, Malcolm has never been one to complain about his bike, and just seems to make them work.
Almost would want to keep a rider like Marchbanks. Just a grinder who doesnt seem to complain a whole lot.
Chase, Jo, Garrett would be a nice team. Not sure the last time KHI carried 3 guys however.
Looks like a lot of potential from ex250 class over seas that should have Beta and Ducati salivating.

Ive also done this a handful of times.
I am not sure what the root cause is but Chase has stalled the bike in several mains in sx and mx. Not just the Kawi but the KTM as well.
I think he said in an interview last year he doesn’t ride with a finger on the clutch and that’s why he would end up stalling it in corners at times.

Matthes was saying that Yamaha probably wouldn’t even consider anything with Chase until he was out of his Kawi deal, he was saying Yamaha doesn’t want to step on anyone’s toes and Bobby doesn’t run the 450 effort.
