The success of the Lawrences has me wondering about the likelihood of them staying with Honda for their entire professional careers on factory team. Have any champions stayed with the same factory team for their entire professional careers. Jeff Ward comes to mind. Did anyone else?
You and I have a different definition of the term “entire”…
Herlings came close
RV2, and AC9 if you count his 250 championship.
Broc Glover on Yamaha in the US (yes he went to KTM for the GP's at the end).
Jeff Ward rode a Yamaha when he first turned pro from what I recall (don't think it was the factory team)?

Didn't Glover ride a DG Honda in 1976?
Jaroslav Falta comes to mind. Would Dick Burleson be another?
Hunter (and Jett in EMX series) rode for professional Kawi and Suzuki teams in europe before going Honda,
I dont think anyone named Carsten has ever rode anything but a Suzuki but we are sticking with just champs?
Doug "Yamaha" Dubach
If we count junior career too, Herlings was on suzuki. On a side note, I still have footage of him hauling ass on an 85 at Gaildorf in 2008. maybe I should upload it someday lol. Kenny was already in the youngsters class that day racing the 250 (way too small for the bike) setting lap record after lap record and a triple no one else did. Sorrry for digressing! 😅
Do you mean one brand? Jett and Hunta rode for Geico and then factory Honda, 2 different teams. RV rode for PC and factory Kawi, 2 different teams. AC rode for PC and factory Kawi, 2 different teams.
Yeah, good point. I meant one brand during their pro careers, not as amateurs.
Post it up!!!
Did JMB ride anything but Honda?
Chad Reed and Chase Sexton.
Jody only raced Hodaka
I completely forgot about Pastrana! Lol
