Is Guillem Farres coming (back) to the US since he is ageing out of MX2?
Teams should stand in line to sign him!

He'd be great with Triumph in the US. He's proving the bike is good, and the team could definitely use someone with his consistency.

From what i understand, the Triumph MX2 bike is a full worksbike, frame/swingarm etc. nothing is stock. Maybe it transfers to the 2027 model…

I don’t think the base bike is the issue at Triumph USA. Their most consistent rider races part time and is leaving the US after the summer…they’ve had no one consistently on track. I don’t care how much testing you do, if guys cant finish seasons you are getting absolutely no data.

Huh? Farres got 8th and 9th in his first ever two SX races before his season ending crash due to a bike failure. Dude never even got a chance after that. He's really good.

Injury risk would be huge.

He'd be a huge boost! Triumph could use the fanbase exposure that Aaron would bring, as well as the top-5 potential as well. Hope the rumors that he's already signed for 2027 is accurate.

AP said on pulp that he was going somewhere else for next year so it seems like it’d be a done deal. Also said he’ll be staying in Thor, AStar boots and helmets, and most likely staying with Scott goggles.

  • Swap Moto said Anstie, Thrasher, Swoll, Temmerman, and Romano all looking for a spot on the PC Kawi Team. Romano is almost signed. Mitch wants to have 5 bikes if it's the right guys.
  • Thrasher might end up at Triumph if the PC Kawi doesn't materialize.
  • Plessinger changing to Heat Wave Visual goggles.
  • Beta might do a 250 team. They've talked to Jalek Swoll.
  • Gage Linville might not race the rest of the summer for Triumph.
  • Guillem Farres back to the US is a possibility.
  • TLD Ducati to run a 250 team in 2028.

Not enough potential podium riders out there on 450’s to fill all the seats on factory teams.
I dont believe Sexton is a consistent threat to podium each weekend regardless of what color he rides.
You have the Law firm and Deegs.
I am a Sexton fan but just being realistic.

4-10 is whats available and with that its a battle of attrition.
Perhaps put governors on the bikes? Nah!!

Whatever happened to Preston Boespflug?

A few years ago he was making, what I thought, some nice progress.

He would be one of those riders that I would take a shot with on a 250 seat.  A lot of brands out there.

Yup

I’m guessing there’s likely a change in titles coming up too. I’m thinking an existing Triumph employee will take over as manager (MX Team).

Never fun when jobs are lost but Triumph over here needs some work,  they had no choice but to make changes.

Get Osterman out of retirement.

He just started riding again and posting instagram clips. He is tagging barx in the videos but not sure if that’s just because he is riding with them or what.

Rumor a page or so ago was Fahe out at Kawi and Coker taking his place. Wonder if these changes at Triumph changed that?

What was the problem at triumph? Too many chefs in the kitchen? From the outside it seemed like their biggest issue was keeping guys healthy but whatever the interpersonal stuff is must have gotten bad with the way people have talked about it lately.

And do we owe savatgy and ferry an apology?

I think there’s been some questionable decisions on the triumph US management side of things. “Needing” to have a 450 out there to get 15th in sx mains instead of putting that rider (Smith) on a 250 in sx for podiums is one of them. Putting Forkner on a 450 instead of having him fully get ready for 250 east would be another. Savagty got screwed with the 450 not being ready and he would’ve had to skip sx 2 years in a row for a 250 outdoor ride. Ferry I don’t think was ready at all seeing as this year was his first year of actually having some decent results in sx. Smith made that 250 look really good in sx last year so I don’t see why they wouldn’t have put him on one for 250 east and a 450 outdoors and then full time 450s for ‘27.

I had a Triumph 675 that was denied warranty for an aftermarket exhaust. The dealer said the exhaust fouled the plugs causing carbon buildup on the valves and lost compression (when in fact it was the crank position sensor all along that went bad). They literally disassembled the top end without my consent and then held my motorcycle hostage. Reported them to the state attorney general for fraud and then took them to small claims and won my motorcycle back. Though I was on the hook for reassembling the engine as I wanted it as far away from those shady mf’ers as possible. Will never buy a Triumph again because of this assholery.
