Everts extended a 'multi year'' deal at the end of last year so it looks like he's got at least another year with them.
Liam Everts extends multi-year deal with Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing | Husqvarna Sweden
One thing that really impresses me with Jake is his fitness. He makes up so may positions in the last 10 mins.
@rym I'd not take K. Ressilus. He's been a disappointment; His younger brother has a better ROI.
Yeah but according to gatedrop Karlis Reisulis is under contract for another year. Janis is free.
If i read it all correct these guys are under contract:
Everts
Mclellan
K.reisulis
Smulders (67 racing)
Valin resigned at KRT. Garcia signed at KRT aswell.

Well deserved for Garcia and to be honest it’s great that Kawasaki / Iceone is rewarded for their efforts as well and that Valin will stick to that team. It’s starting to look pretty good.
the only other rider in EMX250 I would like to see in MX2 next year is Skovbjerg. His path to get where he’s now is very inspirational and without the big budgets some others are working with. I believe he has the heart and commitment to get there, super hard worker and reminds me a bit of Coldenhoff in the early years.
No surprise. García's teammanager Lili Dassé is Valin's girlfriend, and the collaboration between the BUD and factory Kawasaki team is strong.
So for the officialy approved teams in MX2 in 2026 it currently looks like this for 2027 i think. (Never knew i could upload excel layouts haha)
This excludes SB Racing with Walvoort and Chambers with Collmer. Both teams do all EU rounds but apparently are not an OAT.
McLellan is on Triumph next year... I'd imagine that Yamaha retain Janis too, unless KTM come in with a big offer.
yes, updated it with McLellan!
Maxime Renaux will leave Yamaha at the end of the season. Curious who will replace him at the blue squad.
Will Kawasaki move into 4 riders? Or is Jonass (or febvre) out?
Damn. This puts KTM in a hole.
They sign Mikula and he becomes Vialle 2.0
They have Gyan Doensen in the pipeline too, they have to go somewhere.
I would guess the Valin Kawasaki deal has a 450 option too maybe, similar to Renaux's Yamaha one, to seal it.
There arent many guys at the minute that are stand out in MX2, that are available for 2027
Or a Pro Circuit option, you never know with those Frenchies and their American dream! That his girl also brings her team over to race Southwick is maybe also a sign? (Probably not but who knows...)
After some of his 125 performances i was hoping to see a lot more out of Katona. Such a smooth style on the 125. So far in the EMX250 class he's been lost. I'd picked him for a KTM seat in the near future. Not so sure now.
Time for someone other than KTM to win the MX2 class!!
So, a very important source told me that Valin is set to go to KTM and Garcia is set to go to HRC...
Well, in the beginning of the year he was underwhelming. But he had quite a big injury while leading the EMX125 last year. He is not setting the world on fire, but he had a podium already in EMX250. Next year he has to be top 5 every round to be considered a full time factory KTM MX2 rider I think. Definitely has something special when I see him riding.
A lineup of Mikula and Doensen would be a very weak KTM factory lineup.
I like Mikula a lot (am underwhelmed with Doensen on the 250 up till tbh). But for sure neither are at the moment a nr. 1 for a factory team. So unless they move Everts to KTM i would imagine KTM will sign someone else
If gatedrop is correct Janis Reisulis is not under contract by Yamaha for next year.
Pit Row
Zanocz could've been an option but his season hasn't been great, pretty mediocre to be honest.
I do not disagree, but how far away from what Adamo and Vialle were like at that point are they.
Adamo didnt look any better than Mikula and Vialle in EMX managed 1 race win in 2018 and finished 8th before going to MX2. Jett Lawrence was 13th that year.
They dont historically pull in people they havent already invested in . and Doensen is still young , he seems a nice kid from a nice family too, from what i have personally seen, and i dont see anyone else who you would pull in to be better.
All of the EMX classes are a shit show right now for consistency, and seeing as only 1 person out of EMX250 has even won WC , how much of a barometer is it really.
Think we had the same source, Valin confirmed with KRT.
I won’t choose a EMX250 rider to move up to a factory spot other then one of the bud racing guys, those are the only 2 which are mostly consistent.
unless lucasmlq81 misspelled i think he is saying Valin was to go to KTM...?
he has just been confirmed at Kawasaki though
Garcia to HRC is surprising to me
Mikula to Red Bull KTM would be dream for us czech guys. 😍 i have seen some vids with him and Laengenfelder training together, but it might be just practice *insert Allen Iverson speech*
If everything said here is true. I think JMR is the hottest free agent in MX2 and he did good on KTM last time he raced it in EMX125.
We will see.
No it’s correct, I heard the same story that he had a deal with KTM. But in the end it remains KRT.
HRC won't be running a 250 effort in 2027. Only a 2 rider lineup.
Would that be Lata and Grau for Maddii?
ah sorry i misunderstood, clear.
According to gatedrop Garcia would be also at KRT so a 2nd kawa factory bike
Its great that Kawasaki puts some efforts in those talented guys!
Will Jonass or Febvre be done for them? Or is there enough budget to keep 4 riders?
Febvre's contract with Kawasaki comes to an end. Looks like he will sign with Triumph, along with Haarup, who will return from the US.
Farres the 2nd spot for Yamaha maybe? Or will he try again in the US?
