Davies will be one of the guys to have a shot at winning this title, and there is a bunch of motos left. There's the top group, Shimoda, Kitchen, and consistency will get the job done.
It's a bit too early to tell, but to answer your question, I'd say yes, he will win the title this year.
Davies is definitely riding better than most ppl expected for his first real year outdoors. Def a title threat.
We havnt seen anyone out of NZ like this since BT!!
So good!!
Putting Kitchen, Shimoda and consistency in the same sentence is quite a feat.

Consistency seems a rare commodity in the 250 class atm.
People seem quite capable of finishing 10th and 3rd. Starts are obviously a factor. As is apparently no front brake.
big fan of cole ...he's CHAD 2.0 imho
but abit inconsistent outdoors ..........like the rest of the class............. LOL
I have jo winning the title!
Watching Shimoda, who's been a "title contender" for ten years, trying to pass a 16yo rookie for hours (to no avail) was kinda pathetic.
🙄
yep Jo is an enigma ...like chase...but his time in now!
he always finishes better than he starts a season
I think he gets it done, as mentioned earlier it’s only his 6th go at an outdoor national. He’s figuring it out and no one else seems to want it bad enough….. juju has been looking good also.
It quite impressive to go 1-1 for your first ever High Point
He’s only seven points down off Kitchen, and he’s won more motos than anyone else so far.
Yup..😂
Yes he will, that's exactly what i wrote on mx2k last week after Lakewood. He's gonna get confidence and will be unstoppable from now on.
If I had to bet anyone today I'm picking Cole.
I had the same feeling yesterday, ok this kid is gonna start rolling now. You look at the tracks coming up Red Bud, Southwick, and Spring Creek. I think he's going to excel at all of them. Hes going on a run, stamp it
People were worried that if he wins his SX region next year he'd get move up to the 450 prematurely.
At this early stage, it's starting to look like it might not be premature. He might be ready by then.
This is true whether you're a fan of his or not. His race craft and ability to make passes might be the worst we've ever seen from a top rider.
