I think he can live with not beating Hunter in a race if he has to push beyond what he's comfortable cruising at. I want to see him in a 2022 Pala 2 Sexton situation. As fast as you can go with caution thrown to the wind, crashes be damned. He'll be a lot more motivated to not let Deegan beat him vs his brother.

The thing that kinda sucks for us as fans is that the Lawrences can kind of game the race.
Hunter was faster than Jett today. They both knew it. Jett chilled so Hunter chilled. Both of them cruised most of the second moto. Jett picked up the pace as much as he needed late and Deegan never really got to him
People acting like Deegan was catching jett when Jett just turned it up and kept the gap right where he wanted it..... He's done this far too often for people to still be falling for this. Just like chase and others, let me know when someone catches AND passes him.
I don't think Deggan got that close Jett and Jett was nowhere close to Hunter.

It's mindblowing that both have perfected the game to only ride as fast as they need to. Hunter for the first half of the race constantly buttered out 2.05 laps and then just chilled. Jett couldn't really match him in the first half lap time wise so he was probably aware and already settled.
For Deegan.. Someone should write "break him" on the pitboard more often if that increases the chance of a battle. He absolutely took off from that lol
