I find stats interesting, and I’m an unashamed Hunter fan, so thought this was awesome and hard to believe that after so many legends, that it’s a first.

Cool stat. I’ve said it before but Hunter has had a model career so far.

So many incredible riders move through the ranks and break themselves repeatedly long before they reach the premier class. This is the correct way to go about it.

Hunter reminds me of CR22. Incredibly talented rider who just so happened to be born in the same era as a generational talent. In Chad's case, two: RC and JS7.

Hunter has to go head-to-head with not only his brother, but next year, the Coenens.

When you consider his early 250 years this is specially impressive imo. He went from crashing a lot and barely making it through a season due to injuries and almost retiring to dominating the 250 class in 2023 and now being one of the top 450 guys in the world ever since he moved up.
2022 was definitely his breakout year with making every race and contending for both titles, since then he's a monster. Also easy guy to root for.

And it shows Hondas faith and loyalty with him. They could’ve said we’re only signing Jett when Geico folded, but they gave Hunta time to develop and saw the bigger picture. Kudos to both 👏👏

I worry that Hunter is going to be like Kevin Windham and finish 2nd in more titles chases than anyone. Both riders are unbelievable talents, yet have no premier-class hardware to show for it. I will be among the loudest cheering for him if and when he nails down a 450 championship.

Even if he does, he’s going to have a few million reasons to keep his head held high.

Him and his brothers are maybe the greatest starters of all time also.  It would be interesting to see the start stats from the last couple years for Hunter and Jett.  It really seems like they are 1,2 almost every race.  And Hunter is pretty much always top 3!

Adding more to the story, the rider who had the previous record for most consecutive top fives to start a 450 MX career was the Lawrence's trainer, Johnny O'Mara. He had 18, Hunter beat that record at Washougal last season

They had an identical average first lap position last season and the same amount of holeshots.

This season so far they are both even better. Hunter with a one position edge.

You could never meet a more friendlier, humble and classy guy than Hunter.  He is great for the sport, a great role model for the younger generations.

I am not a Lawrence fan boy, but they are both raising the level of competition in our sport which I greatly respect. As far as class goes, you will not find a better representation. Hunter has gotten his teeth kicked in over and over by his brother, Kenny, Eli, Chase and never whined or made excuses. Dude is top notch.

So true. Remember the shit talking after he failed to get in the main in his first 450 SX? How things have changed

Daaaaang, I didn’t know Tate was that good off the line. I knew he was fast, but that’s awesome.

giving love to the third, but not forgotten and life of the family brother.

Like others have said the dude is pretty constant and seems to have gotten even better. Hunter also has a lot of heart while others would have quit he has stayed the course and is a certified dog. His interview with Gypsy was great and made me a big fan of his.

Hunter on pulp once said a lot of that is due to constantly working their asses off together with Honda and doing like a million starts. They weren't the best starters on the 250 for example. But everything paid off. I still have this screen saved. That picture says enough

Something tells me Kevin and Hunter are not worried about it.

I was looking up the records on titles today, and was amazed to realise that the only title Windham ever won was a 125SX championship.

It’s nuts you have to go all the way back to Johnny O to find the next closest guy. If I were forced to bet on it, I would have for sure put my money on Dungey being second.

Heck it was only a couple years ago people here were saying the only reason he even had a ride was because of Jett.

Just goes to show the benefit of getting to practice everyday with the fastest ,smoothest rider of all time, plus when he’s your little brother. 💯👍🏻
