Yep.. forget the Hayden degan Jet Lawrence rivalry.. The rivalry in the future will be Lucas Cohen and Jet Lawrence!

Nobody not paid to say it thinks a guy 30 seconds back is in a “Rivalry” with the winner.

The Coenen’s might be if they can survive SX heathy enough to get to the Nationals

According to Ian Harrison there’s very little difference in the bikes apart from fuel spec and noise regs.

Nonetheless the impressive part is them flying directly from Europe, riding a track they’ve never ridden, different race day format, and getting great results.

Not going to read too much into a one off result, let’s see how Southwick and Ironman go, but they’ve certainly shown the potential to be front runners.  This is as much a commentary on the US 250 class as it is on Sacha’s abilities but I think he would be the title favourite if he moved here right now.

I’m not getting into specifics because I don’t know, but it’s true that for many years the KTM GP bikes are basically production prototypes for the upcoming year model.

Also the frame is about the only major part that AMA production bikes have any significant restrictions over what the GP bikes are permitted.

I know there can be differences but the days of radical works bikes in MXGP are long gone.

I think Gasjer and Herlings scooters are pretty trick aren't they?

Don’t know.  Would be good if there was something similar to Pit Bits for the GP’s but I think their current pit setups don’t allow for much photography of the machines.

He legitimately looks like the only person in the world that could possibly beat jett and even battle him for a title. Going to be awesome next year, it could be like chase vs eli only even faster and smoother. Plus hes only 19! Hunter, a healthy eli, sexton on a ktm/honda, and probably deegs and prado can all most likely beat jett for a moto or two, but lucas really looked like hes at that next 1% where jett lives and could battle him. Everybody sees that next tier that jett is at that is just a bit higher than everyone else, lucas genuinely looks like the only other person thats up there with him in the world. Going to be a fun time next year.

Not sure if he wins an overall but he will win a couple motos.

Hunter will also beat his brother again.

We can bet on this if you’d like.

I don’t think so in a straight up no crashes head to head. The gap is too big right now. If Jett crashes or gets a 20th+ place start and Deegan is up front I could see it.

Outside of the Lawrence brothers Honda’s, I thought the Coenen KTM’s looked better than anything else, although that may be due more to their smooth style than anything.

Note to American MX riders. It’s okay to miss some bumps and ruts and occasional change your lines.

No Deegan fan here, but I bet he at least wins a moto at Washougal. His strongest track, their weakest track.

Are you sure? If you see track side footage, especially during moto 1, Lucas' rear end is flying all over the place
