He'll probably find comfort in '28.

It sounds like mostly chassis too. Which I believe is the main issue they are having.

Does Chase have an opt out clause after year 1 in his contract?

Is that possible or not a thing in the industry to do?

How would we know thou?

I heard he signed during SX so maybe before the whole Prado deal came to light.

So speed is worth a ride, just like it always has been. Anyone claiming there is no where for Chase to go if he leaves Kawi is crazy.

Not disagreeing with you on that. I just think Ty was a lot of potential return on investment, which created a lot of different opportunities. A rider of CS ability is paid a lot more to win. Not to finish off the podium. So I just don’t think there will be quite as many opportunities for him. At least not for what he’s currently being paid.

My reply wasn’t to something you said. And what a rider is making doesn’t have anything to do with what TUNIA said.

By that logic Chase can go back to Honda or KTM then?

Chase and Kawasaki are so yesterday.
Forget about’em. They’re done.

Chase peaked at Honda, he will never be that good again.

Kawasaki? Seems the good times done rolled off. Maybe they should have spent some of that 2 stroke development money on actually producing a competitive MX bike

If they have a spot sure why not. Neither of those teams would appear to have room for him next year, but Chase will be around for a long time.

Look at Webb as an example he’s gone back and forth between ktm and Yamaha his whole 450 career.

Well, CW left Star on good terms the first time, but his split from KTM was not amicable.

And the why nots are pretty key to the current Chase situation.

Honda. Burned bridge.  No open spot.

KTM. Burned bridge.  No open spot.

So even though he has speed, he's not going to either team for the foreseeable future.

Re Star.   They have speed with Deegan.  Do you think they'd introduce risk to the team dynamic with bringing on Chase, even if the money was there?  I have a hard time seeing that.

Star?  The team that signs everyone?  Yea I think they would.

Team dynamics on 450 doesn’t matter as much. Chase pits out of a motorhome.

Star had both Webb and tomac at the same time. They aren’t scared of having multiple title contenders

He has 30 wins in his 450 career, 16 of those are supercross wins. Yea, that’s awesome, but he hasn’t shown championship potential in 2 years, and he hasn’t even shown progression; he’s shown regression in all aspects. Dude needs to be treated as a #2 rider on a top team, or the #1 guy on a B team.

The reality of it is, no matter where he goes, he’s going to ride the bike the same way, he’s going to complain the same way and it’s going to be the same thing over and over.

He obviously rode the bike before he signed with Kawi. Wonder what gave him the confidence to sign and what happened to kill the confidence in the bike?

Because the tour of the facility and office was great plus pay. Then after a couple weeks you realize this job sucks and you look elsewhere.

Smoke and mirrors than reality after taking the gig.

That is a fair point about Webb and Tomac.

McGrath hated the same Honda that Ezra Lusk was, at times, beating him on.  It's not "1 size fits all".

Prado and Chase are champions.   Both of them aren't wrong.

I should have been more clear. I was referring to mxgp news/ podcast/rider interviews.  There is far less exposure of those riders compared to our series.

In any case it’s probably a moot point with low odds of it happening.

You still have to wonder what exactly is wrong with Masterpool, why no one keeps him. Has to be something because more than one team seems to hold on to other guys for a good while if there is even a hint of them winning.

Theres additional video of Sexton crash. There is data from bike.

Edited: There was a vlog I watched last night where they asked Kawi manager some questions.  There was no direct finger pointing what so ever but just Kawi taking the high road.

That is what I got out of the vlog.

At this point, I bet Chase stays on Kawasaki. Why? I really don't know if any team would hire him. I if were a team manager, I wouldn't touch him with a 10' pole, at least until I started seeing some results.

Honestly, Chase should be on a Suzuki. He'd never push the front end again. The rest of the bike might not be to his liking, but he'd have the front-end feel. How he would get on Yellow is beyond my pay grade, but from a bike-only standpoint, that's his best platform.

I just thought about this: he could go the MC route and "retire," then re-enter the sport a year later on a new team.

It depends on how the contact is written. Good change Kawasaki might have his rights even if he retired and came back later. If I’m Kawasaki he is gonna have to suck it up for two years.

Exactly, if Garrett can put the bike in the top 5, Chase should be able to win or battle for wins. Chase is a head case
