Meanwhile in the 250 Pro class, Billy Musgrave moved up from the Intermediate ranks for the first time and went home with the 250 Pro victory. Musgrave’s win was also notable because he was on a KTM 150SX two-stroke in a field of 250 four-strokes.
Over-40 Intermediates: This was another two-stroke victory as Dan Alamangos used a box stock Yamaha YZ125 to post a 2-1. Amazingly, second place went to another YZ125 two-stroke with Cary Brown going 3-3. Shaun Hanson, who was second overall in the Vet Intermediates, was third in the Over-40 Intermediates with a 1-5. Tim Harris, also on a two-stroke took fourth with Mike Phillips in fifth. Two-strokes also won the Over-40 Pro class (with Willy Musgrave) and, of course, the 125 Novice class (with Carson Forbes).

For all you guys who say "not this $hit again", get used to it. It seems to be happening more and more and that's because the pendulum has begun to swing the other way.

Pit Row
Dunno about you guys but Im selling my 4 stroke tomorrow! Also I'm getting an orange helmet too. On second thought, with this breaking news, someone get Dungey on the phone! Tell him that all he needs is a 250 2 stroke and he will win all the races from here out because willy fucking musgrave did it in the vet class at the rem race!
You guys need to realize something. 2 strokes are fun to ride and when the doc tells neck can ride again, I'll buy an ol beater and have some fun. But, the way technology and the rules have gone since the yzm400, racing someone who has competitive speed riding a 250 2 stoke bs a 450 is at a disadvantage. That's it, no more discussion really needed
Let it go people! 2 strokes are blast to ride. Keep it that way. Like I said before, the way the rules are set up, you're at a disadvantage when it comes to racing. If you wanna race one, fine, just don't complain if your getting "killed on the starts" or "pulled up the hills" or you have to "override the bike" to be competitive.
The cost of maintenance is negligible on either bike compared to all the other stuff we spend to go racing anyways.
Get off your high horse, ride what you want and let me do the same, stop trying to force everyone to go back to the past, things werent as rosy as everyone is pointing out anyways.
but you hit the nail smack bang on the head,
the thing people need to realise,is that if you love them that much, ride the fuckin things and stop moaning about being at a disadvantage, and to be honest,id like to see them raced by the pros, but it doesnt really matter to be honest.
from the money you saved not having to pay 1000s in engine repair bills get some lessons,or twist your right wrist more.
