Well you get what you are willing to tolerate, be it a parent, a spouse, a coach, an employer. So my personal opinion once he came into the pits and dropped his bike or whatever he did would be to bring him inside the semi, and tell him he pulls that shit again he gets suspended for a few rounds without pay and he can do the walk of shame for a couple of weeks. Placating him ain't going to work as both Honda and KTM went that route and he subtly threw both of them under the bus anyway even though they did everything to keep him. He needs a hard attitude adjustment imho. Kawasaki is still his employer, and signed him for millions of dollars-time for him to grow up. In other pro leagues at some point they say fuck it, pull the trigger and trade the problem child away b/c the juice ain't worth the squeeze. Marchbanks is already showing him what is up and will be ahead of him very soon. He has his head down and is grinding with his employer to get faster and produce better results.
This.... He looks almost straight down 90% of the time !!! Ask the guy he ran into in SX practice ... Mitchell Harrison I think
A few important details:
Chase technically won two races, but with respect to the subject matter he won a single race. In SLC Roczen let everyone by and Hunter had no choice but to go COW, otherwise he would have also beat Chase.
Good vs bad bike these days has a lot to do with the size of the setup window. Every bike out there has a set of conditions it's very good at. It's just that not all bikes are very good EVERYWHERE. Chase winning a race tells us what conditions the Kawasaki is good at. It didn't tell us that it works everywhere.
It takes a rider, team, and bike to win. We know Chase is chasing a unicorn, but that doesn't exclude the possibility that the bike or team sucks too.
If I had to bet, I would put money down that STAR could develop the Kawasaki such that Chase could repeat his previous performance levels. That doesn't mean Chase wouldn't lose to Jett and start blaming the bike, as that's what he's always done. I do think STAR could get the bike to that level though.
Let’s see “I didn’t see it” “maybe it was his dad” yeah guess we should be happy that this reporting completely lets us know what happened with one of the sports highest paid athletes. Sorry we expected more 🤷♂️

Chase threw the bike on the stand aggressively because he was mad and the bike fell off the other side towards where Marchbanks was standing. Marchbanks yelled "hey watch it" and keir said "not now" and stepped in front of Marchbanks to keep things from escalating before him and chase walked off.
Chase hopped off the back of the bike as he entered the pits and launched it towards where everyone was standing. Marchbanks had to jump out of the way to keep it from hitting him. He said "hey watch it" and keir got in his face and told him to STFU before staff separated them and him and chase stormed off to the motor home still MF'ing everyone.
Those are two entirely different events with entirely different implications and both still within the realm of possibility based on what's been reported. It's not asking too much for someone in the media who knows what actually happened to clarify the situation. What do they think is going to happen, chase stops doing interviews with them?
I criticize moto media plenty but it's mostly because I believe they could be far more bold in their reporting without it actually impacting their ability to do the job. It's the friendships that might suffer, but that in itself is kind of the problem.
He’ll be working a desk job in two years tops. Hope he can get his headset “set up” dialed
Too bad Jason Andersons neighbor wasn't there when it went down. We'd have video and Sexton would be charged assault with a bad handling weapon. 🙃
Maybe the Kawi requires being “thrown around” harder?
I know your kidding but if Chase ever has to work a job besides racing he made a lot of financial mistakes.
Well, to be fair, you're never happy. You trade here on being the cynic.
In this case, you've got nothing; you're just rehearsing your schtick. What more do you need to know about this, and why would those specifics change what you know already about what actually matters here - that Chase is again causing drama for his team? You and can't even say what's missing that matters - it's just a moving target. You question this even happened? You need the details of the catfight between Marchbanks and whichever Sexton barked back? You want to know what color shirt Sexton's dad was wearing? You need the words that were said, when without a recording if you take two people and they'll remember a relay different takes.
Almost everyone reporting on the event is at the podium when the others roll back to the pits, and if not there in the media tent. No one is waiting at the Kawi pits right after a moto on the chance that Sexton might melt down. So who's there? The team, and they're going to keep silent. They've got nothing to gain and everything to lose by talking this up. Who else? Other riders and their mechanics rolling back with 37 other 450s barking, and maybe 1/4 of those down the lane Kawi is pitted, who have their minds on their own business and, you know, probably aren't focused paying attention in those 3 seconds when they roll past to whether Chase is losing his shit under the tent.
It's the brotocracy...
Here's a third possibility. No one in the media knows for sure which of the two scenarios happened, and no one who does will say.
Honestly, does it matter? The Kawi pits are toxic in either event.
Getting bike set up advice from this guy...
It must be galling if you're a highly skilled engineer - not just a mechanic - on a factory team and this burger munching bloke is wandering around telling you what to do...
On the latest Racer X podcast JT said a person he respects witnessed the whole thing and told him exactly what happened. JT then proceeded to give no further details...
Then sports world is full of meddling parents whose kid is the bestest and failure is everyone else's fault. Credit to the parents who strike the right balance of support.
Why do the details matter beyond what we know already?
Almost certainly that person was with Kawi. People expect folks to be serious journalists, but a serious journalist is not going to relay specifics provided to him off the record or on background if those specifics will out the person who shared them. And here we're not talking about the whether the bigger picture happened, but granular details. Juicy stuff we can drool over.
Might need to call in Chiz to get one of these dialed
Yeah fuck that guy. I get my local Stucco contractor to set up my bike.

The amount of swelling in those legs could quench the Sahara desert sheeesh
that's JT for you. sometimes trying to be everybodys friend means you end up nobody's friend. either that or he needs to decide if he wants to be a corporate guy or a media guy. nobody in F1 media pulled any punches when horny chris horner was texting dick pics to his assistant. not one equivocated "well we all fall short of the glory of God and there but for the grace of God go I, buuuuutttt" like JT does with literally everything he says. it's a low blow and i'm very sorry, but i imagine his dating life would be more successful if he just fking said what was on his mind and didn't equivocate. there's a correlation there imo.
I agree 100%. I can to an extent understand some tolerance for borderline behaviour if results are being delivered. In this case the results aren’t coming and the behaviour is way past borderline.
Just my opinion, but a statement from Kawasaki acknowledging that it happened (without specifics) and that it has been internally dealt with would go a long way.
Yeah that’s a bullshit take if ever I’ve seen one.
That same burger munching bloke raised a professional athlete who is a multi time champion. Get over yourself.
It wouldn’t though. You’d still have the same people here whining and complaining that they deserve more information. Like a second by second detailed breakdown of the whole incident.
Just an fyi. I have heard from two different people (highly doubt either have been in contact with the other about it), and both have told almost the exact same story. Chase came into the tent and got hung up trying to get underneath the chain so he just basically said screw it and let the bike go. It did almost hit Garrett. I know nothing about what was said and who else got involved tho, so I won’t speculate on any of that.
Read Trucks post right above you. Just trying to understand the situation and he explained two different scenarios that explain the “evidence” reported that show two different events. I’m not an insider so I don’t understand the evasiveness of how rumors are handled and feel things could be reported on differently. Sorry that bothers you.
I'd assume this to mean the worst. If it was a well handled situation I think someone would have said that
He got hit by a car I believe.
What about Keir? Was he afraid Garrett was gonna whoops chases ass and had to get in the middle of it?
