See? Now this is the very first thing I've yet seen that provides any kind of logical response to the question. If true, this would assuage the fears of many. Instead, all I've heard from the Democrats is a constant smattering of "don't worry' it's all good," or "Anyone asking about election integrity goes to jail for 3 years." (Recent law rushed through the legislature and signed by Gavin Newsom.)
It would be really nice to see a transparent election. To be honest, I would not expect a Republican to win anything here except a small regional office, but it would still be nice to feel confident at least that the elections were not being stolen. Right now, it sure seems like there is a massive stranglehold on power by the one side that won. They're getting everything they want, all the time, with no worries about accountability, transparency, or concessions to the constituents on the other side.

The only reason you don't feel confident is because a small subset of individuals in power are telling the public anytime an election doesn't return a result in their favor it's stolen and needs to be immediately investigated. Does voter fraud occur? Yes. Does it happen at a large scale which regularly impacts elections? There's been no evidence provided that suggests it does.

Also, is this the law you're referring to? There's no "speak out" portion, unless you have a different source.

SB 73:

  • Prohibiting any person from providing unauthorized access, disruption, modification, or seizure of voter rolls, voter lists, or certified voting technology to law enforcement agents — including federal agents — absent a court order or investigation into specific violations of California election law.
  • Restricting peace officers from interfering with election administration or disrupting election workers carrying out their duties, except in urgent public safety emergencies.
  • Requiring the California Department of Justice to issue guidance to county election officials on how to respond to requests from law enforcement seeking access to areas where ballots are cast, processed, or handled.
  • Increasing protections against illegal removal or seizure of voted ballots and establishing criminal penalties for knowingly taking ballots from election officials.
  • The legislation also makes it a crime — punishable by a $1,000 fine, imprisonment for up to three years, or by both — for a person to knowingly take a package containing voted ballots from the custody of elections officials.

How's that work for mail-in ballots that get sent to everyone in the state?  Oh yeah... They verify the signatures. HAHAHAHA!!!

On the flip side, I’ve moved a few times over the past 10-12 years and I think I can only recall getting one ballot for someone who no longer lived at that address. That’s spanning 3 states, and 5 counties. I did have my own ballot get flagged once because I was out of town and hadn’t mailed it in yet so I had my wife seal it and sign it. Come to find out, they actually do match signatures, or at least that county did!

I have no reason or agenda to come onto a moto board and make things up. I appreciate you not calling me a liar like someone else has, honestly it’s not a big deal to me. Those ballots go in the trash along with mine most of the time. Living in Ca where it’s 60/40 I only vote on my local measures that affect my life. I’m not huge into policies … just sharing the obscurity/incompetence of government or whoever is in charge

Here is a theory. Notice i said theory and not inevitable event.

The Trump administration is preparing  legal challenges to the California election process. Why? Because they think that if they can clean up the elections  Republicans will start winning? No. Some in that admin actually know better. What they are doing is preparing for the mid terms where the semi sane know they are in for an ass kicking. What are they preparing for? They are preparing for a coup in Jan. 2027. If they can somehow de legitimize some of the new members, they can retain the House. They picked California because it has the largest Democrat delegation. They can delegitimize the most Democrats.

I heard that yesterday and thought it was an interesting theory.

I honestly don't understand what you are talking about.

For the City of Los Angeles (not Los Angeles County):

  • The city has a population of about 3.9 million people.
  • The voting-age population (18+) is approximately 3.15 million
  • The number of registered voters is approximately 2.2 million (recent estimates range from about 2.21 to 2.22 million).

So, depending on what you mean by "eligible voters":

MeasureApproximate Number
Voting-age population (18+)3.15 million
Registered voters2.2 million

Keep in mind that not everyone age 18+ is eligible to vote (for example, some residents are not U.S. citizens), so the true number of eligible voters is somewhat lower than the voting-age population. The most commonly reported election figure for the city is the ~2.2 million registered voters.

If you're looking for a specific election (e.g., the 2024 presidential election, the 2026 mayoral election, or a turnout percentage), I can provide those numbers as well.

So you're down to 3.1 mil of age to vote. I read that the foreign born population of just under 40%. So if you figure 25% naturalized (can legally vote) you still have to take away another 30(ish)% from the 3.1 mil which brings you a lot closer to 2mil legally entitled to vote. LAPD files felony charges of 30,000 annually, so take out another 100 plus thousand and you get real close to only 2,000,000 legally entitled to vote. I find it unlikely all 2mil legally entitled to vote are registered.

Call me crazy

I worded it poorly and for some reason I couldn't go back and edit it. The election fraud/stolen election shit was ramped up by a certain party in 2020 and has been amplified in recent years up to current events. Are the dumocrats guilty of it, why yes, yes they are, but wholly fuck man, Trump and his cronies have been shouting it from the rooftops at every chance it is convenient, ectual evidence be damned. I'm still waiting for hard proof of election fraud to be posted, not just "Jim Bob saw some boxes being delivered to polling places so it's all a fraud".

To think this country, or the county of Los Angeles, could actually pull that kind of shit off without fucking it all up and being outed is delusional at best.

Burn the whole system down and start over.

You did not come across as questioning my at all and I appreciate it. I’m not big into politics at all … I do believe in a few things such as voter ID and possibly only having mail in ballots for those who need them (disabled/military etc)

Each month I receive a billing statement from the San Diego county controller to collect from my son for various court fines over the years. I contacted them a few years after he passed and was told it was taken care of. To this day I still recieved a monthly bill addressed to him. It baffles me that counties/states/federal governments cannot keep track of the deceased or people who have relocated when it comes to ballets. I was not pushing voter fraud, just the incompetency of whoever is in charge.

Thank you for being kind

Agreed, and that was bullshit too. Point being, the seeds of doubt on election integrity have been getting plenty of water, to the point of being  watered, which is by design. They don't want either side's constituents believing the results of any election. Slow, steady march to the end of the 22nd.

When a one-party state (California) sets up a system that helps them come from behind and win every single time people are rightfully suspicious.

They aren't "coming from behind".  They are just counting the votes.  Mail-in votes take longer to count, and apparently mail-in voters are much more likely to vote for Democrats.

"Justin Grimmer, a political science professor at Stanford University and senior fellow at the Hoover Institution who researches and evaluates claims of election fraud, conducted his own data analysis of the vote updates, and came to the same conclusion.

He said there was an initial update with no Pratt votes, but a second one 41 seconds later with no votes for Bass or Raman — leading him to believe the single batch of ballots was just reported in two back-to-back updates rather than one.

“Because they came so close together, it looks like it was just a sequence of updates,” he said.

Grimmer said news outlets are “thinking about speed” and the best way to get people the most accurate information as quickly as possible, but “haven’t quite adjusted to being in this world where there’s this group of people who monitor these data feeds as if they are official government reports.”"

The law you referenced wasn't a law making it illegal to question elections. It was a law restricting law enforcement from seizing ballots and voting equipment outside established legal procedures.  That means that they have to go through the proper legal process.  It does nothing close to saying that anyone who questions election integrity goes to jail for 3 years.

The law may be good or bad depending on one's perspective, but it should be argued about with factual claims about what it says and does, don't you think?

They aren't "coming from behind".  They are just counting the votes.  Mail-in votes take longer to count, and apparently mail-in voters are much more likely to vote for Democrats.

😀

So your saying Democrats like to procrastinate?...Republicans are prudent and on time? 🙃

No, you have it backwards. If a Democrat mailed their ballot they most likely did it prior to election day.  Republicans wait until election day.

Mail-in voting is very susceptible for fraud. We also see that the Dems go around signing up homeless people to vote, disappearing ballots etc.. Pretending this system is safe and secure is asinine.

Agreed, and that was bullshit too. Point being, the seeds of doubt on election integrity have been getting plenty of water, to the point of being  watered, which is by design. They don't want either side's constituents believing the results of any election. Slow, steady march to the end of the 22nd.

CA has little chance of electing a republican for a long time. It's not that we have so many dems, it's that the mindset has changed soo much. I have little doubt that Spencer Pratt had Zero chance of becoming mayor of LA. But I also have little doubt that many of votes are illegitimate. How is it possible that the vote participation is so out of line with the rest of the state? What makes LA voters soo motivated to vote that the rest of the state didn't? Do we really believe drug addict homeless people were motivated to go vote? But yet we have homeless people in the city's skid row district voting in the 10,000 range that list their address at homeless shelters hat don't even have capacity for them. How much fraud there is, a little? A lot? Nobody will ever know but to think it's not there is naive. Even the Googler will tell you that the number of registered voters is higher than the actual # due to a list of reasons they give you. Don't believe me? Just ask google "how can a city have more registered voters than the population". And everyone thinks this is OK?

From just a crazy person,

This is sounding more and more like the 2020 stolen election conspiracy. Or the moon landing conspiracy. There is nothing, No kind or amount of factual evidence that will disabuse the conspiracy theorist of his presupposition.

“You sound like a crazy election denier!”

“So anyway, here’s how everything is part of a master plan to stage a coup next year”

From just a crazy person,

"How is it possible that the vote participation is so out of line with the rest of the state?"

How are you calculating this?

Just looking at high level numbers, the Governor election received a total of 8,837,328 votes, out of a total population of about 39,590,000 (this includes under-18 and other ineligible voters).  So 22% of the total California population voted for Governor.  Looking just at Los Angeles County, there were 2,119,933 votes for Governor from a total population of 9.6 million, for a participation rate of 22%.  The LA Mayor election received 849,503 votes out of a total population of 3.9M, for a participation rate of 22%.

LA City seems to be in line with the county and the state.

It’s not who votes that counts , it’s who counts the votes.

I had this same problem using my desktop (not being able to edit my post) using Firefox and Google Chrome but on my phone (Iphone) I was able to edit it.

Is Steve Hilton really creating a spot for Pratt on his gubernatorial ticket?

The governor doesn’t run on a ticket.

I don’t know why some people find election fraud so hard to believe. This exact thing happened in Washington in 1996.

It was a wild election. Candidate Al Donnelly challenged incumbent governor Tracy in the Washington state gubernatorial race. Donnelly hired his brother Mike to work on the campaign, but his brother was kind of a well meaning idiot that created a lot of problems for Donnelly.

Tracy took advantage and ran a smear campaign against Al by publishing a photos of Mike and claiming they were proof that he was racist and had committed arson. She went on to win a landslide victory, until Mike figured out that vote counts in certain counties exceeded the actual population of those counties. He found ballots that were submitted in the names of people who had died a decade ago and he managed to notify his brother just before he was going to concede to Tracy. There was even a rumor going around that Tracy was trying to have Mike assasinated. It’s a really interesting piece of American history and worth a read.

There are definitely plenty of people who think that is non-fiction and evidence for their viewpoint…..

"Call me crazy"

Well, since you asked. . . . .
