To reiterate, all Sexton talked about when he signed with Kawi was that he wanted a long term deal, this was the place he could see himself finishing his career on, he was going to work with them to win, saying he can win on the bike. Alluding to why he left KTM...blah, blah, blah. I think Kawi has busted their ass to make him happy and comfy, just like they did with Prado. Prado took to the extreme to get out of that deal, so unless Chase decides not to try and qualify for a national (which would be a death sentence for him), he ought to turn that frown upside down and get to work on improving the bike and his results. We are who we choose to be. Sorry Don M, I can't get with you on this one. On most of your posting history we agree, but not this one. His only way back to relevance is to find his way back into the light. Start with a 6th or 7th and move it to a 5th then a podium, and run with the top dogs, and for all things holy, don't let Deegs beat you.

not a chance. I bet Kawi draws a red line here instead and tells Chase you're under contract to race- get your ass out there and race- otherwise stay home and pout, but without paychecks and see you in court. This headcase rider can't always have the upper hand to dictate to his employers- it's not the way employment works in the real world- nor should it here.

This isn't "employment in the real world".  Chase is an elite athlete in his field.

Holdouts and trade demands happen all the time in other sports.

We actually do not know this. We said just two years ago chase can win on anything as well. But we actually have more proof that it would likely go south for them as well then it would go good. We have two prior champions that are extremely talented two years in a row saying the bike isn’t good enough.

To back up your point, Jett got 12th at Anaheim 1, 2025 because the bike didn’t have a good feel

I know plenty of people who bust their ass at work; it gives the impression they are busy but they aren’t really achieving much and certainly aren’t improving anything.

Where is the team manager telling him to just ride the damn bike?

I’d bet he somehow gets a Star Yamaha deal (with less money).

Yes but he worked to set up the bike . Chase has no idea how to do that

Did you play Mustang Sally, Old time rock and roll, or proud Mary? Things outside the norm, I mean.

The bike that Chase is riding would be an upgrade to 80% of the field in SX and Nationals, and is a good machine. Chase won 2 races on it and Marchbanks has been running in the top 10 so far.

And Marchbanks type of riders are the only ones that will ride for them…I was talking about riders that can win not the ones that can’t. If Kawi’s goal is to be 5th-10th then by all means keep on doing what they do….they just got beat by a team that’s in their 1st year… this is nothing more than Keith McCarty and Yam all over again.

Marchbanks is going to podium this season.  That's my prediction.

I think you're missing context about the "Contractors", there are only 8-10 in the world that can do the job you want, and most of them are already contracted somewhere else.  If your job is known as the worst one available, then even if you're lucky enough to hire a contractor, it's going to cost a lot more.

not sure I understand your point, but there is a list of experienced racers without contracts for next year posted here somewhere. Guys like Mookie and a couple others that are steady 5-10 racers each week and occasional podium. No worse than Barcia, Ferrandis, and the other guys riding Triumph, Beta, etc.

Keep in mind the new KX450 drops for next year and supposedly has many or all the changes and fixes people said were needed. Plenty of the unsigned riders would jump at the chance to ride it and if I was Chase I would just lay low and ride the new bike before trying to force an exit- but that's just me.

It may be his job, but I don't believe top 10 is Marchbanks' objective when he lines up.  He wants to be up front.

Since there isn't any video, I'm just going to throw this out there. Chase's old man's name is some shit I never heard of in my life. Does he even lift bro?

He lifts a lot of burgers from their packets to his mouth...

That's about it...

RV is also a brand ambassador for Kawi. He’s literally paid to represent the brand.

Marchbanks might be the best thing to happen to chase?  Chase straight up started to real.in deegan after marchbanks started catching him.  If Marchbanks starts getting close to the podium. My guess is Chase will push to be even better.

One year, heavy bonuses. He fights for a championship and gets signed to a long term deal.

Easily plausible.

He’s got to get away from corporate.

Same same Tom Petty channeling Wildflowers.

He could pull an Eli as he enters his 30s and make us forget about a lot of this.

I sure hope he figures it out. He's one of the best natural riders I've ever seen when he's "on". The last-to-first moto win he had on the KTM was epic. I was looking at some specs of his Kawi compared to another bike. The rake is significantly different amongst some other things. I'm not sure what modifications they are allowed to do to the frame to keep them legal, but I'm 99% sure they can use older years' stuff. Find something that gives him the best feel.

says who? You think guys like Marchbanks have no desire or dream of winning races consistently? Or the race team wouldn't want them to? Not making sense man.

Says who?  How about the numbers on his paycheck or  media/fans not scrutinizing him for finishing off the podium?

You have to win races consistently before people consider you a consistent race winner.
That's not a judgement of his character or desire.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you have absolutely NO actual verifiable information on any Kawasaki rider contracts. Prove me wrong or all you're doing is repeatedly stating your opinions as facts- with no receipts

Yeah that's right, but do you really think they are paying Marchbanks more than Sexton?

20 pages later and not one "media" outlet reporting actual DETAILS of this event. And we KNOW that all the "media" guys KNOW exactly what happened but their bromances keep them from reporting it. Oh well, some things never change.

Eli had way more wins and titles when he left Kawi for Star. No one thought Eli was a cancer in the pits.

I really like Chase. I wanted him to do well this year, but his attitude is really gross. It's hard to root for anyone who acts like he does. It's pretty embarrassing to be 26 or whatever he is and acting like a bratty teen.

Indeed, someone should ask him how many people of his old crew are still with the team. I talked with a rider who rode a few times for the team in the RV era. Asked him "What is wrong with Kawasaki USA" and he told me, I can't answer that mate 99% of the people are different now.

Let me remember you all how unprofessional the engine guy reacted to Prado on social media. Now less the 12 months later they drafted Twisted Development in to develop the engine...

You're always complaining about the media.

Ever thought of starting your own outlet? You have a phone and an Internet connection. Start up a YouTube channel, and have at it.

You can fill the void you think is missing. If you can get access and get people to talk openly about all the things you think are missing on a consistent basis, the channel will grow, and if you can't, your channel will stall and won't go anywhere unless you pivot to something else.

Good luck.

I guess I don't get it. ML was told to not to photograph certain things for Pit Bits or he would lose access.

The same thing would happen if you start asking certain things. Lose access to enough teams, and then what, go the Cooksey route?

Yeah, that'll keep Vital's doors open.

This sideshow has been reported or discussed.   What "details" are missing that you need to hear?  Whether he dropped the bike or stepped off with it rolling?  Would that change the impression made by something no one denies happened?  What more do you need to know?  A transcript of what was said between Marchbanks and Sexton/his dad, something that doesn't exist?  The people in the Kawi pits sure aren't going to talk and run themselves further through the gutter with Chase drama.   You want someone to get a no comment from Sexton or Marchbanks to prove they can put a guy on the spot?

It's been reported as much as it could and deserved to be.
