100%. Nobody will ever beat Haiden because they worked harder. Unfortunately for him he happens to be racing maybe the most talented rider this sport has ever seen. Certainly the most talented since James Stewart

lol unreal how you can watch the guy go 3-3 over past champions and mxgp champs again working his way through the pack beating everybody that doesn’t have Lawrence in their name and still make a thread to hate on him.

How much higher does he climb?

This season maybe gets some good races with hunter. I predict he gets hunter in a race straight up by end of season. I’m sure he will get one over either of them due to luck too. Yes I get he went 20 sec down but so does everybody after you get passed at that intensity. He’s got a lot to work on. Think, he has 2 450 races on this bike now. He has a lot of technique and bike setup to do and he will do it. He may never have anything for Jett. Jett is a god on a dirtbike. Most of you guys didn’t even have him in a podium spot. He’s very clearly 3rd best right now.

I'm not a Deegan fanboi or a Jett fanboi.  I just appreciate good racing.  Deegan is WAY ahead of where I thought he would be for his first 2 races on the 450.  I expected 5-7th place while getting experience and learning.  He's the 3rd best rider in the class (followed closely by Prada) on his second race ever.  The progression is impressive.  I didn't think he would sniff a podium until after Redbud, if at all.

Anyone that can't see the progression, learning and growth, doesn't appreciate good moto and is nuthugging on their favorite riders.  Again, I'm not a Deegan fanboi at all, and he has blown away my expectations for him in his career by 10,000 miles.  Respect.

I absolutely thought he would be this good already. He's even markably better than even Pala. He learns and progresses so quickly. Its the starts though...

I absolutely thought he would be this good already. He's even markably better than even Pala. He learns and progresses so quickly. Its the starts though and its always going to be about the starts. 3/3 great starts for the Lawrence's today. 1/3 great starts for Haiden

I think his starts will continue to improve, because he's learning that qualifying times really do matter in the 450 class when it comes to gate picks.  the kid works his ass off and with Jett and Hunter being faster, he's just going to get that much better.  He's definitely got Jett and Hunter's attention.  Going to make it a fun summer to watch it all play out.

What other 250 guy can come out of that class and podium their 2nd 450 national? Deegz went pro with Vohland, RyderD, Jett Reynolds, JuJu and has left them in the dust. He’s doing fine.

Mike Alessi didn't even need the 250 class to do it.

Alessi was a different type of animal to do what he did at 16 yrs old fresh outta Loretta’s lol a lot of people didn’t like Mike but I was stoked when he got on that podium at steel city behind RC and K-Dub. I also meant which kid can do that from the 250 class right now, should’ve clarified.

Deegan was first American.  There was a time when that was a pretty big deal. Idont think Haiden is ready to settle for that tho....

Reed got shit on a lot all over mototalk in the early days. A lot folks thought he came off cocky about taking it to RC indoors.

if deegs finishes top5 this year it will be a very successful transition to 450  imho.

Currently 3rd now so exceeding my expectations ....

likely have prado covered by mid season.

Deegan will not beat a "healthy" Jett for a title ever, period. I'm just happy to see his massive ego get deflated so quickly.

Oh no, Deegan said he was going to win immediately. Not finish third 20 seconds off the pace. It would be a great first season for any other rookie but this guy was suppose to destroy everyone. Can you imagine if Jett was healthy lol?

idk brotha , just remembering all the shit them 3 went thru racing each other & then yal remember reed & stew at Jacksonville then ATL SX 2011 , I feel like this generation of moto fans on IG , Facebook & every other social platform would be losing their minds just like everybody doing now with deegs vs Jett

He's fast 4 sure... but this is the Jett era... he's up against perhaps the new goat, indoors and out.... it will take other riders being injured for him to get another title... he's no different than all the guys that had to race MC or RC - one hell of an uphill battle

I dont know when or how long but there will a time when Deegan is comfortable on the 450 to send it. He has been pretty tame and controlled but knowing him, it wont last for long. I see winning or literally crashing trying. He doesn't strike me as the type to accept 3rd best. At some point, he gets risky.

Yea cool he got on the podium….he got dropped 20+ in all 4 motos. Hangtown has arguably been his best track every year. Thundervalley he won’t podium. Mark my words

TBH, he's always been better on the east coast races.

Well, you do make a valid point. I wasn’t taking into account social media. You’re right, they would be losing their effing minds. Lol

Jett on one leg put 20 secs on him.

Deegan is impressive in his first 450 year but he is and will never be in the brothers league.

Maybe it's the humble pie he is eating Moto after Moto slowing him down?

As a fan of his riding, but not him personally I’d say the rise is going pretty well.  He matched hunter which is in the best form he’s ever been in and improved this weekend.  Will he win races yea, but it’ll take some time, the Lawrence’s are just next level.
