Although if that was a Harley, it's only fitting that they have a wrench on the shroud graphics.

The black frame is sweet. I'm going to do that to my '03 and see what it's like.

Harley's don't leak (anymore), and they have never made a 2 stroke motor that I'm aware of.

If your Harley doesn't leak, it's time to add oil !

I was beat by two of the old Harley 2-strokes back in the day...

One was riden by Rex Staten, the other by Rich Eierstedt...

I got the Holeshot @ Corona raceway, on my Factory trick Yamaha, but it didn't take long for those two to pass, then came Danny "MaGoo" Chandler...

I got my ass handed to me that day !

That's pretty cool. Wish I'd had one last week. For the last 2 weeks I've been riding a 2008 Harley Sportster on the new Adam Sandler movie,"Bedtime Stories". I'm the Stunt double for Adam on the motorcycle scenes.I jump the sportster into a bunch of cardboard boxes. The jump is about 4 ft high and I am about 8ft high and jump it for about 25ft thru the air and am then pulled off the back of the bike via a wire attached to a vest under my jacket. The bike continues on and lands alone in the boxes. Then in another take,I jump the stock 1200cc 600lb. Harley from a 2 and 1/2 ft ramp and land it 20ft later. The footage is then combined with Adam Sandler's face interjected into the scene to make one long, high, jump. If I could have used this new Harley MX'er,we could've done this in a lot less than 2 weeks..............course,I'd made a LOT less money!Laughing

And so did a lot of other local pros. Did you ever know a Mike Garrett, ran mostly D-37 desert?

Maybe now that he's on crutches you can just assume the starring role?

Hmm....never met, or heard of a Mike Garrett. I did a lot of D-37, but in the desert. I showed up at that Corona GP expecting to win...instead I just got a lesson in fast !

I don't get this whole "Harleys leak oil" thing. I've had mine for 3 years now and it hasn't leaked a single drop of oil.

Sure they do and yeah they did, sorta. They sold a few two strokes but the motors were made in Italy I think. I'm not sure if Harley actually ever built a 2 stroke in their factory. I even have some old photos of a 250MX on a track.

They sold a 175 or 185 2 stroke in 1959 or 60

Way back in the day they (Harley) had a killer 100cc desert racer that I believe Larry Rosselar raced. All the 2 strokes and the old sprint came from the Arrammachi (sp) factory in Italy which I believed Harley had a money interest in. This was in the old days of Hodakas and way before any of the Japanese 125 MX'ers were thought of.

They also sold a Baja 100 two stroke that Larry Roseler use to race desert on in the early '70s.
