I never had much of an opinion on Israel, Jews, antisemitism, etc until now. I've lived in Massie's district for 15 years and he has always been very popular here. In no sane world does Ed Gallrein beat him and I think there's a good chance the district flips in the general election as the dem candidate is as normal as a dem candidate gets.

The election was carried by boomers. Trump endorsement and an insane amount of Israel's money convinced them to vote massie out even though they have no idea why. Now AIPAC is doing victory laps and taking full credit, Trump is joking about polling at 99% in Israel like it's a good thing, and I'm out on all of it.

Not another dime for them. Let them fight their own wars. I hope Israel has an exit strategy because the boomers aren't going to live forever. The younger generations aren't falling for it.

Where are you at on this one, MAGA? Massie stood for everything conservatives used to claim they stood for and he's not the one who changed.

Yeah, this shit they've pulled on Massie is a damn shame. It's sickening how they went after him full bore, because he had the balls to...

Yeah, this shit they've pulled on Massie is a damn shame. It's sickening how they went after him full bore, because he had the balls to demand things that the people were already promised.

Not surprised at all, but I seen a few tweets from the fucking lunatic Stephen Miller who was blatantly lying. It was hilarious and sad at the same time to see the community notes attached to his lying ass fucking posts.

Look, you guys are running with a crowd of social-media spewing goofs and it bit you in the ass.

As I originally spoke to…”took $20 million in donations from Israel”…and other X posted drama…

Never-mind where Massie’s money came from…right?

The best part? Apl trying to explain -anything- to me.

No worries. Again, for posterity…

Welcome to politics.

Where do you think Massie’s money came from? I’ve only heard about small time donors. Regular joes. But yeah I’m sure the X algorithm is covering for him or something stupid like that. Go read some Laura Loomer posts. Fuck even look at Erika Kirk. She said some looney shit like “the only thing that hurts as much as the death of my husband is antisemitism.” She’s catholic lol. Go read the Talmud. They. Are. Fucking. Nuts. But I digress or something. Funny how Charlie got smoked single digit days after he talked about refusing more Israel money. Then one of the first dudes to post anything happened to be Netanyahu himself. Also don’t forget that Massie was highly respected by Charlie and some have claimed Massie was his favorite. Now Erika has done a complete 180. She’s cooked.

Nope. We have sore loser law. Name can't be on ballot for the same race you lost a primary for. Some people speculating he could jump in the senate race for McConnell's seat but I doubt that happens. My best guess he just runs for same congressional district again in two years.

The senate race here had been fairly close race between 3 people until Trump gave one of the candidates an ambassador position in exchange for dropping out and endorsing his chosen candidate a couple weeks ago.

I was just going to post this same thing, this was absolutely rigged there is no way they mobilized 3x as many boomers as they did in 2024 just to take this guy out.  We’re really expected to believe that not only twice as many people magically turned out to vote, but that almost every one of these “new” voters were so appalled by a guy sticking to principles that they felt compelled to vote his opponent with no real platform and who refused every opportunity to debate Massie?  This is a bigger joke than the 2020 election scam.

If you are an American and read AIPAC’s post bragging about this, and aren’t absolutely disgusted and angry, I don’t know what to tell you. I went down the rabbit hole two years ago regarding them and was blown away. Seeing this unfold now tells me all I need to know.

It pleases me that more people are waking up to this. It's such a massive issue, not just in the US but worldwide.

Here in the UK, our Labour government are also owned by Isreal. The things they are doing here is unreal. Starmer has just brought back Harriet Harman, who has campaigned for a 'watering down' of Child P**n Laws......

Suggest you do some reading beyond the daily fail and the internet there Russ, she did no such thing. That reeks of social media doing it's thing of trying to drag up dirt on anyone and everyone all over again irrespective if it was right or wrong. If you'd said she was a bit of a twat I'd have been able to agree, but pro-paedophile is just going down a weird rabbit-hole.

The argument that Labour is in the pockets of Israel is kinda funny too, we are only a couple years out from everyone saying they had a chronic anti-semitism problem... The internet is fucking weird, honestly. Anyway, sorry gents, don't want to drag this thread off-topic. As you were.

What do you suggest for news and accurate information, the BBC on TV? Or a newspaper?

A massive amount of current Labour MP's are supporters of LFI. The anti semitism thing was purely based around the Corbyn era.

A massive amount of MPs from all parties are supporters of LFI, it's not a single-party issue. There's far more LFI on the political right usually but it's not exclusive by any stretch, they're very good at hedging bets.

As for news sources, shop around. I try and pick a mix from those who lean right and left to cover all sides. The only rule I have is that if it's on youtube or any other social platform I avoid it like the plague and I nuked all my social media a few years ago so couldn't use that if I wanted to. I don't really watch TV news, it's too selective. Your mileage may vary but as a rule, I prefer to pick sources who at least are legally forced to stick to the truth unlike the massive legal grey areas that exist on 'social' news feeds.

Completely agree, Conservatives and Reform especially are just as deep into Israel.

Will definitely try to broaden my horizons for information, it seems very hard to know what to trust these days. Social media has definitely become a cess pit. I only use Facebook mainly for following MX clubs and bike events. Every time I go on there now it's filled with crap that is purely designed to shock and aggravate, it thrives on anger and hatred.

Anyway... apologies for going slightly off topic!

Massie also put forth legislation to make AIPAC register as a foreign lobby.

seems to be at least part of the reason behind the federal government demanding voter roles from all states.

target the boomers, send them a pre-filled ballot, "submit this or the woke libtard mafia will be in your bathroom raping your children while playing sports with the wrong gender" (or whatever you guys are afraid of currently), profit.

Nobody. I was just stating a fact. She says a lot of stupid shit but isn’t dumb enough to take aipac money and I respect her for that.

Politics is more about kissing ass to get big money support and falling in line with the policies. Until we get big money out of Washington, states will continue to lose their autonomy and our deficit will keep rising.

Whether you agree with him or not, kudos to Massie for standing up for his principles. It’s clear his state does not support his policies, however. It’s all in the power of the voters.

Same issue here in Australia. Israel has been interfering with both sides of government for decades with ridiculous lobbying power, far beyond that of any other nation (other than the possibly the US). Absurd power when less than 0.5% of the population identifies as Jewish here.

I think it’s important to distinguish between the State of Israel, the Israeli government, and Jewish people as a religion or ethnicity.

Not all Jewish people support the actions of the Israeli government, just like not all Americans support the actions of the US government. Governments and political movements should be open to criticism, but that criticism shouldn’t turn into blanket assumptions about an entire ethnic or religious group.

We should be careful about sliding from criticism of a state or its policies into broad stereotypes or collective blame. History has shown repeatedly that once people start assigning the actions of governments or powerful individuals to an entire population sharing the same identity, things can get ugly very quickly.

I agree with this but can we also educate some people on the Israeli government not being the same thing as the old testament promised land? Christianity doesn't require you to support Israeli politics. If your pastor doesn't know the difference you should find a new church.
