Marchbanks was so good last year, he just can't get a start. I thought it would be different on a 450 but it wasn't in supercross so I'm not optimistic it will be different outdoors.

If Sexton's head is in it he will obviously be better but that's a big ask.

I just can't imagine Sexton straight up losing to Marchbanks. That would be the final nail in the coffin for the Sexton - Kawasaki relationship.

Sexton unless he pulls a disappearing act like last year.

Sexton could do half the races and still score more points. I don’t see Marchbanks putting in much better results than what we saw in Supercross. He was catching heat for his results but when you look at the names finishing ahead of him…it wasn’t that bad.

Sexton is going to win a moto or 2, show some ridiculous dumb speed, come from last. Then tuck the front after a couple more weekends, disappear till next year and come back on a Triumph 😭

G if he stays healthy. I think Chase gets banged up a few rounds in.

There is a decent size speed gap there and it’s outdoors. hard to bet against c over an entire summer. And id rather see g finish ahead

I don’t understand how the bosses of these teams don’t tell their riders

“all you’re doing this week is starts. Nothing else. You don’t need to hit another triple, you don’t need to find another setting. You don’t need to adjust your sag. You need to learn how to NOT round the first corner in 19th”.

I’m 100% serious. Marchbanks is an incredible rider and a shitty starter. Why 100% of the emphasis of his training isn’t starts, I’ll never know.

Sexton is way faster than Marchbanks, but Marchbanks is way more steady, positive, and level headed. He gels wherever he’s at, and he’s always trying.

When there's not 21/39 guys around you revving the piss out of their bikes, a chopped out crooked rut in front of you and your adrenaline spiking off the charts what's the point? Work out a technique with a start map, do a couple of practice starts at the end of your ride day so it's familiar and call it a day. Starts are 95% mental, look at ken in the slc main event! Spending days testing starts merely re-enforces the negativity of struggling with starts. Chase is out there HOPING he gets a good start whereas the good starters already KNOW it.
