Out of all the 250 riders to win 4 titles, the only one to not go 1-1 in their 450 outdoor debut is Stew

He's not yet mature enough, in spite of his blazing speed.  When he becomes a man, it'll be a real thing.

I was surprised at how quickly he unraveled on Saturday however -

Josh Grant had this too, Josh would have so many more wins if he raced ahead.  I remember watching him toss a race just to try to settle an old score from his mini days.

Was that against Alessi?

Didn't matter.
Stewart rode a 4-stroke in 2006 & 2007.  The Goat won 84% of his races against Stewart in 2006-2007.

That 450 Kawi almost killed Stew a couple times outdoors 06; the crash at Southwick when it let go was brutal.

They traded a fair few moto wins at outdoor rounds with Stew holding his own against RC across 2006-2007, with for stats purposes saw RC taking overalls with the second moto wins.  But for sure RC clipped Stew more often than not.  RC's career is just freakish.

RC won 86.51% of 450 Nationals throughout his career (7-straight Championships).
Riders pull up to the gate, look over and see that #4, and they are mentally beaten already.

In 2 years every current 450 champion other than Jett and Chase will be retired.

It won't be a cakewalk, but he isn't going to struggle.

Given guys who are not going to race outdoors seriously - Roczen, Webb, probably Anderson (including just for his sheer knock you down potential), any others? - it's not like the class is five deep in potential winners.  He's going to do fine and probably a podium threat every week.

It'll be interesting to see if he tries to dick around with guys like he did with the 250 kids.  I am inclined to think he'll just get on with business.

I don’t see him as a top 5 chance with everyone on the line.

Fair enough on Justin, I don't see AP and Ferrandis as week in and week out top of the box contenders.  I didn't write that Deegan is going to run off multiple overall wins, just that he's a credible week in and week out podium contender.  I'd be surprised if we saw five different overall winners in the 450 class over the summer.  Hope I'm wrong on that.  Time will tell.

Sorry I didn’t mean AP and Ferrandis were consistent top five, just the best of the next bunch, however all are capable of it on their day. I did forget RJ, if he’ll be back?
Either way the top ten will be hotly contested and it’ll be interesting to see where Deegan fits in.

The list of people we think could win in the next two years is Jett, Hunter, Chase, Prado, and Tomac. In the next two years only Tomac is likely to retire out of that group. Roczen will never race the full outdoors again and Ferrandis only had the one good year, and that was what 5 years ago? This lineup of contenders for this year isn't going to be much different from the next 5 years.

Although I don't know his injury status as of now, lets not forget RJ, he was looking pretty damn good last year and getting better and better as the season went on. I believe he got a best of 3rd last year. If he can stay off the ground he will be in the mix as well probably ahead of AP7 and DF14 battling for top 3-5's.

Even with the current line up, RJ is probably the only guy who could podium a moto, or finish 15th and it wouldn't surprise anyone either way.

Outside of MXoN last year, RJ effectively broke his pass or crash habit.  He had remarkably few soil samples…

Funny thing about Webb is that while outdoors is not his strength, he’s never failed to answer the call for MXdN. I have no faith in Sexton (because of Kawi) or Deegan because of historical excuses being on the team, especially if overseas as it is this year. If Deegan truly wanted to do his team a solid, he’d step back down to 250s for one race and have Webb on 450 MX3/open assuming Tomac is MXGP.

Based on him being a better rider outdoors than SX. Based on him being a champion in both. Based off of there isn’t 5 riders in the 450s better than he is.

Webb is barely a threat to crack top 10. Jett, Hunter, Chase, Prado, Eli, Deegan, JCoop, AP, Ferrandis. Shoot Marchbanks will probably slot in in front of him, too
