Idk, I've seen Jett decimate the whole field (MXGP and AMA) multiple times. Deegan was even too scared to race De Wolf and Lucas at the MXON. Deegan is on top of the 250 AMA class, not on top of the "racing world". Not yet.

Flatliner wrote:

We haven't even seen Deegan race the 450 yet, so absolutely impossible to compare him to Lucas who almost looks like Jett out there. I do think that Lucas, De Wolf and Deegan on the 250 at their best would trade wins depending on what track they would race on. I won't compare those three on the 450 until we have seen Deegan and De Wolf on the 450 for 1-2 seasons, that's pointless.

I'm also just ragebaiting a bit, I don't think Deegan was scared of them, I think it's just sad that we haven't got to watch him race MXON yet. I'm just a fan of the sport after all and want to see the best race the best.

Unless DiaperBoy goes 22-0 as a rookie he’s going to be way different in comparison to Jett.  He’s got some big shoes to fill is all I gotta say.

Not Kay right now (after his thumb injury two months ago) but Lucas is definitely faster than Deegan on the 450. I honestly think Nobody’s touching Lucas right now, maybe Jett will if/when he’ll be fully fit after his injury but that might not happen this year. I would love to see Lucas going to Southwick this summer. I think he’ll do what Herlings did at Ironman back in ’17.

How can people say Jett's so much faster when they've never been on the gate together aside from when Deegan raced a few outdoors in 2022? The only time Deegan raced Jetts current competition, Cooper and Hunter, was in his rookie season. Is Jett the fastest, yes. But making a statement on something that's not even measurable at the moment doesn't make sense. That's like saying Bob Hannah is just as fast because he has the same number of titles.

And no, I'm not saying that Deegan will beat Jett. He revs that bike like Barcia, and we've seen how that's worked out.

its worked out into multiple titles and lap times indoors and outdoors faster then the top 3 450 guys on multiple occasions.

So having like ~10 (ish?) total hours of tattoo work done dictates "covered in tats" nowadays? 😂 Honestly maybe to some. Coming from a tattoo culture background this is like starter level.

Both are fast. That’s about the only similarity.

One talks like the cards were stacked against him. The other actually had the cards stacked against him. They couldn’t be any more different.

On the track total opposite styles but both have don’t a ton of winning.

Should be an interesting rivalry.

As does the MXDN,I don’t think a gp guy won any of the motos did they? It was a clean sweep from the AMA on that front and in some of the motos most of the top 5

According to Herlings (who has raced both) Coenen is likely even faster than Jett.. And he's admitted to being a Jett fanboy

You know it isn't going well with the Americans when they are referring to the AMA Riders when they talk about the MXDN... The future looks bleak for the Americans. These are the only guys under 30: Justin Cooper (DOB 1997), Sexton (DOB 1999) and Deegan (2006) all the other stars are older... And the future upcoming stars like Ryder D, Drew Adams, ... are struggling to break trough into the pro ranks like we saw riders like Eli Tomac (first pro race - won the overall), Justin Barcia (First race, Podium in second moto), Trey Canard (Went 4th in the second moto of his first pro race and won his first supercross race and that Rookie SX championship), RV2 (went 5th O.A. in his second national)... Ryder D. has had his first good Pro SX-season in his career and hopefully he can build on that.

But to return to Deegan. I start to understand all the hype, the grown men who idolize him like teenage girls did with Tokyo Hotel or The Beatles, the support through thick and thin, through the bad choices and the good ones for Haiden Deegan. He needs to save the American fans from the Oceania' domination in the AMA Supercross and Motocross championships.

Deegan is going to mop the floor with the globe just like the GOAT did for 10yrs. We make goats in the USA.

Mx Matti really having a good old pot stir. The USA will be fine but they are definitely having a little bit of a lull with this next gen of racers. My guess is it’s the training facility stuff, to much emphasis on practice not enough meaningful racing…. Kids seem to happy to put her in the top 10 and head back to the facility to “build” for the next race. That’s why HD is different, he ain’t happy unless he’s winning. Should be a ligit mx series all these young guns can duke it out week in and week out to raise the level across the board. Winning races and logging perfect laps at the practice track are two very different things.

Deegs has shown skills on the 250, but 450 is a diff animal.  Will take Deegs 1-2 years in SX + MX  to get used to the 450.

The Deeg comparison to Jett is not merited at this stage.

SX maybe but I can see him doing some damage this summer. Field is a little depleted or not at their best for one reason or another. If the kid is comfy on the 450 look out.
