I just really hope it actually turns out to be a battle. I don't mind the games he tries to play beforehand, his confidence is probably at an all time high and he thinks he's gonna actually challenge the Lawrences. I hope so but if he doesn't it will for sure backfire.

You gotta have someone pretty firmly planted in your head if you have to bring his girlfriend into it trying to rattle him...
But I will say I don't think Deegan would be playing these games if outdoors prep wasn't going well. He's gonna be ready for battle.

I think Brian has been telling his son that he'd better try and get firmly entrenched in Jett's mind if he plans on beating him outright...and do that consistently. I'm not necessarily a huge fan of Jett Lawrence, nor of Haiden Deegan...but nobody can deny that Jett is a freaking alien on a dirt bike!
Jett has made the absolute best in the world at the top of their game look like squids. No matter how "prepared" Deegs thinks he is, Jett is going to absolutely pound him into the dirt, and I cannot wait.

Even if he has the speed to challenge them, I wouldn't want them as enemies, not gonna lie. Remember what happened to Forkner or Anderson? These brothers turn into an actual tag team and specially Hunter has zero problems cleaning someone out. I remember when Forkner tried to mess with Hunter in qualifying. Hunter cleaned him out two corners later, he was having none of it.
Remember when Hunter was a lap down waiting for Anderson and cleaning him out after he had his issues with Jett and then with Hunter that race? These two are not the 250 riders Haiden raced in the last two years. If he is going to play games, he's gonna find out quick probably. But man I can't wait for it. Those next couple years are gonna be absolutely nuts and I'm so ready for it. 😅

I mean the Lawrence’s have shown this can be a weakness of theirs with Anderson. But Haiden also tried to mind game hunter in 2023 and it didn’t work. idk, probably won’t work.
So many riders put out an impressive first 450 race only to fizzle. Remember Jason Lawrence's first 450? Second overall. Remember Mike Alessi's second race dipping his toes in the 450 class and getting a 3rd overall. But on a week to week basis, the big boy class has different manners. It will be exciting to watch.

I'm glad you phrase it the Lawrence's and not just Jett. Hunter is a beast outdoors and seeing his sx improvements, look out. I'm sure Haiden is just eyeing up the big dog but Hunter is going to be a problem for everyone

I mean yeah Haiden looks good at the practice track but who's he riding with? no one. Chase was flying at the test track all winter & is getting belt to ass on race day. Cooper Webb said he gets waxed at the star track a lot but shows up on Saturday's.
For a while I hated deegan. Then at one point Haiden did start growing on me but it's gone the other way again. I don't hate him but i find myself hoping someone handles him 450 outdoors. I believe Pala & Hangtown will be a good start & will be his best tracks (throw in washougal). Curious to see how he handles red bud, millville, southwick.
hypothetically, if rd1 goes with Jett -1 and Deegan - 5, that kid has never had to process that someone might be faster than him. It will be wild watching his personality erode once he's no longer the greatest rider living (in his own mind).
So Haiden wrapped up his 250 championship weeks ago essentially putting an end to his 250 career. Now he chooses to talk smack and not race the 450 when he has no reason not to race and every reason to race. I'm entertained by his nonsense usually. But this just looks stupid.

Yeah I wonder where Hunters peek is honestly. It seems like he is just continuously getting better. Never thought he would show such an improvement in SX in just one year. Last year in MX he beat everyone but Jett and then waxed the whole field at MXON. I predict we'll see more Lawrence battles than anything else.
He got beat down by Hunter multiple weekends in 2023. He doesn’t care, man. I know you guys want him to, but he doesn’t
My crystal ball thinks HD and Jett will be close in speed, except Jett will look smooth and effortless and Haiden will be on the edge of disaster, how long can he avoid disaster will be the key. I know that's not new news. I can't wait !
ps. I really hope ET, Hunter, JC32, CW2, Prado, Sexton and AP7 (yeah I know...) and maybe a couple surprises all come out swinging and keep it a multiple winner scenario, one can hope.

This doesn't seem to be talked about as much but Jett is an incredible starter and starts are a notable weak point for Haiden, even being one of the smallest guys in the field on by far the most powerful 250. If he comes off the gate in 15th he won't have an easy time running everyone down like he does now
AP was really good last summer until he got Aldon'd. Hopefully his hip is healthy and he is allowed nourishment this year.
Up to this point he has avoided disaster better than Jett…not sure if that means anything.
That's a valid point. 450's a different beast though, we shall see. Hopefully both stay healthy
I’m curious to see if the Deegan camp busts out the “Captain America” stuff if Jett/Hunter pull off some moto wins and then he follows suit.
Either way, outdoors 2026 is looking like it will be very exciting. The only thing I wish I could change was Kenny. I wish he’d run one last season of outdoors from beginning to end. But the dude doesn’t have to, and I respect that.
