A different Motocross fantasy: what kind of pro would YOU be?

Tell us what your image would be if you were to become a national pro. (Let's assume you would race SMX or the FIM GPs.) Translate your "normal" life experience, coupled with a little bit of extra time, money and effort, plus a generous (very generous, in my case,) allotment of extra talent so you'd be competitive. What kind of rider would you be? It's OK to use your imagination and pretend you'd be able to beat the top guys. Consider the following:

  • Would you be a win-or-crash guy, or a consistent guy?
  • Would you ride for a factory team, a satellite team, start your own team, or be a privateer?
  • What would your style be? Gear, helmet, goggles? Colorful or matching?
  • What bike/class?
  • Are you married to your high school sweetheart or dating a different Monster girl every weekend?
  • Are you a trained athlete or a natural talent?
  • What kind of social media exposure would you have? Would you ever log in and view it yourself?

Looking forward to some crazy answers from Profeshional, BTW. ๐Ÿ˜†

^Well, so far this thread is kind of a dud. ๐Ÿ˜‘

My nickname would of course be Falcon. ๐Ÿ˜ I'd be on a special development Factory Yamaha program for a hybrid Electric 2-stroke, riding for Star. Probably a lot like Justin Cooper, with a quiet personality and little to no social media interaction. Not insane natural talent, but not a super trainer either. I'd be one of those guys who could win at any minute but wouldn't be a championship favorite. I'd ask Jeremy McGrath if he'd like to do some co-branding with Spy goggles so I could design my own and have a signature line.

Who else out there wants to play?

Not exactly following your structure but Iโ€™d just want to be Shane Watts. Absolutely badass on a bike, winner of ISDE on a small bore, could pull up to any national and qualify.

Heโ€™s not rich or really famous but I always looked up to him as a kid.

Lined up on the same gate with him once at Wauchope Stadium MX back in 2000. He was on a small-bore off-road KTM.

Good news he still does.  Seen him at the track on a stock 150xcw lights and all and absolutely ripping

I canโ€™t get too deep into it now but Iโ€™d love to be the Justin Hill type with the awesome non-factory support. Massive talent to dice with the factory guys as a semi-privateer effort. The only thing Iโ€™d change is it would be nice to win every single race and sweep the titles ๐Ÿ‘

I like the Monster girls but for my wife/girl Iโ€™d prefer the cute HS sweetheart type who loved me before my success on a dirt bike. And of course my kids hanging out at the races with me watching pops kick ass

I'd be smooth like Bailey/Dungey

If I tried to ride aggressively like Hannah/James I'd crash my brains out way more than they ever did

70% Reed, 10% McGrath, 10% KDub, 5% Villopoto, and 5% Brian Deegan just for fun.

I think Deano has a sweet current gig. Gets to travel the world and win in some unique countries, and still races some AMA SX which helps keep number 15, and he's racing the last few SX rounds when the field thins out a bit and there's not as much pressure to make the mains like at A1 when there's 22 factory guys and/or Lites champions on the line. Also his YouTube channel is the best, he does funny skits, and he gives back like when he gave that bike to that kid.

I would aspire to be Joel Robert,

I have never smoked or drank so I would have to start, but it may be worth it.

Light up an unfiltered cig and puff it towards whichever over training vegan is sitting next to me on the gate. Hydrate on the line by chugging a couple of Heinnies out of a glass bottle that were snuck in the parts bin of the team hauler, then go out and effortlessly embarrass them all in a 45 minute moto.

I would change my last name to Robert (pronounced Rob ert)

I would become the new legend, Joe Robert.

Failing that it might be neat to be Marty tripes/ron lechein.

Yeah, it would be cool to be a RC/RV/JL type rider that everybody fears because they dominate the races, leaving riders to pretend like they won because they got second place behind them.

But being the kind that they never know what to expect would be fun too.

One week you are finishing 32nd, the next winning by 30 seconds.

Just a pro version of who I try to be as an amateur: Ryan Sipes or Carson Brown type vibe: a few side quests to different disciplines, somewhat under the radar but can show up, have fun, and turn some heads. Flat Track, GNCC, SX, MX, whatever the mood is that day. Seems like a more fun way to make a living than grinding all day every day at any one thing. I was pretty young when Sipes switched to GNCC and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Ideal schedule:

2-3 GNCCs

1-2 MXGPs

1-2 outdoors

A "day in the dirt" type event

Vintage MXDN

Weston Beach Race

The Springfield Mile

1-2 endurocrosses

Maybe 1-2 off-season SX

...plus whatever else sounds fun, gets a few social media views, and pays the bills.

Taking a mix of my real life riding experiences ,  personality when younger,  and some fantasy thrown in and all of it turned up to 11.

I would be a super smooth ,perfect timing . but when things go wrong they would go spectacularly wrong . I would podium or crash ,win one race by a lap and then crash my brains out and finish a lap down the next.  Be like Tomac ( other than the attacking media part) as far as social media goes. Not on it much and keeping to myself. My riding style would be like Windham/James Stewart and Jett Lawrence all together.

I would be on a prototype Works Honda electric with the first Honda made solid-state batteries and magnetic electronic suspension. A small hub motor would provide 2 wheel drive that could spin the front wheel faster than the rear to help pull the bike out of a slide.  I would race SMX and in this fantasy they would allow  full electric mixed in the 450 class.  . Married to my high school crush, with 3 kids and a ranch full of animals and wild tracks to ride.

Honda would sell a Sasquatch  edition electric CRF  that has  3 frame size options , 6 seat height options, and allow riders that are giants like me, to fit on a bike the same as a rider that is 5'10". The 3 sizes would be mini Sasquatch ( riders 4'5"-5'5, Mid Sasquatch 5'6"-6' , and Full Sasquatch for the riders 6'-7' . You could mix the seat options , peg options, brake pedal , brake levers etc. all would come in optional sizes to make the bike fit each size rider the same.   It would come with an enclosed trailer that is covered with solar panels and a built in fast charge  system that could be charged off the sun. The trailer would also have the ability to power itself to move around short distances.

I would be the tallest rider to ever win a SX main and MX OA and SMX race.

I would be a JMB replica but with a John Brtitten type focus on bike development and innovation, then have a Shane Watts type retirement where I never stop riding.
