Prado wins ?

What have you seen that leads you to believe Prado is in a position to get a win? Yes, he gets all the holeshots but he gets shuffled back pretty quickly.

They aren’t short enough for him to hold a lead. 

That said triple crowns can be weird and you don’t need to win to win. 

Not impossible, but I wouldn't bet on it. 

Single moto:
I think he'd need to rip a holeshot and have 4-5 different guys get average/poor starts. One thing I will say, is knowing the race is shorter may give him additional motivation to push the pace rather than settle into a conservative mode which he seems to hit about 10-12 minutes in. If he believes he can do it in the shorter race and goes for it, it's certainly possible.

Overall win:
He could easily go 2-4-5 or something like that, and then everyone else have a bad moto that gives him the overall. Better chance of this than him outright winning a single moto imo. The same way Webb won earlier in the year.

His early race speed. His starts. He was tied for the lead heading into race 3 of one of the previous triple crowns….

Cooper Webb takes the overall with 3-3-4 moto finishes. 

Then again, maybe Kenny wins all 3 motos? 

Everyone saying he has no shot are literally going full Ricky. He was tied on points or within 1 heading into race 3 at one of the previous triple crowns. He nailed the start race 1 and 2 and blew the start race 3.

If he nailed the start race 3 I think he gets it instead of Webb.

So yeah “no shot” when literally he was very close already…

With biblical rain and shorter races, I wouldn't count him out

With Plessinger out, i'm thinking Prado is a good mud rider, so is Webb. Last mud race in SF a few years ago Hunter struggled, but that is a long time ago.

Dude rides Supercross better than a lot of you give them credit for. I’m not expecting a win but he sure as hell has held the leaders pace for many laps not just shuffled back to 12th by lap three. 

Actually yes, there’s a good shot he could surprise and rip a 2-3-3 or something that ends up being oddly consistent. I’d love to see him yank it but Hunter is riding seemingly perfect right now

Right? I'm reading these posts and wondering if my memory is failing me. Shuffled back quickly? I'm going to have to go rewatch because I'm not remembering that at all.

I think the muddy track will be an issue. Even if it doesn't rain race day the dirt getting rained on during the week can get saturated fast and have a hard time drying out. Of course Prado has previously stated he doesn't excel in mud.

Main event results this year - 3rd, 13th, 7th,  7th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 13th, 4th, 13th.

Upon further reflection y'all are right he's definitely on the cusp of a win.

Whose idea was it to have a triple header in Cleveland's outdoor stadium on lake Erie in April? Seems a bad decision.

I just hope the dood keeps it on 2 wheels so he can absolutely send it during the nats... although, he looks fantastic indoors and should be a legit 450 sx title threat in coming years... 

I called this in the Cleveland Mudder thread. I'm not saying he's the fastest or due at all, but if it's a true mudder mixed with a triple crown, I feel he's in with a good shot if a few things fall his way. Critical round for a few guys with needing a good result and doing desperate things which could backfire, and others needing a solid result and to just play it safe.

Podium yeah. And I can see him win a race but not the whole event. Not without something going from for a couple other guys. I feel like last weekend would have been a podium but he tossed it in the whoops 

I don’t see it…. But I’m also not 3rd in RM Fantasy points, on the cusp of winning a new MX bike.  So there’s that…
