A fit Herlings in sand is a beautiful sight to behold, railing the outsides, into the lead

Coenen makes some of these riders look like lappers on this track, unreal. From last to 5th in a qualifying race is strong

What’s Coenen’s problem with Vialle, was he expecting him to pull over for him?

Febvre really kept Herlings honest all race really. Good stuff

Coenen & De Wolf had issues at start and charged through the pack together.

Coenen is fastest by far and without crash he will win easily. Herlings isn't his old self speedwise if he can't get rid of febvre in this type of soil. You saw it in Oss, Lierop and Heerde.

I still believe it’s the Honda, if he was on the KTM Herlings would’ve gapped Febvre easy but his starts on the Honda have been a major improvement. Unless Febvre, Gajser have stepped up their sand riding big time, I’m standing firm on the Honda isn’t as good as the KTM in the sand for Herlings. Hopefully Herlings will prove me wrong tomorrow.

Agreed, de Wolf and Coenen both had to use the whole track to make their passes work. Lets hope all the big hitters get a good start tomorrow.

I agree on the Coenen part with you. Butt….

Herlings knows how to play and handle Febvre in the sand races without pushing to much.
He has been playing that game for a couple off years with all the Dutch Masters, KTM or Honda.

When he wants to click another gear in the Sand he still can. History says enough also with Spain and Heerde in the mirror.

Will it be enough to beat Coenen tomorrow? We will see and also depends how much Coenen spend on Energy today…

Spain was the first time that i saw Herlings was kicked his ass in the sand ever. He could not match the speed on the Honda. I think i heared him saying in an interview that he still has to adapt on the Honda in the sand but on hardpack it was way better than the KTM

To be honest Coenen was on another level in Spain and a KTM would not have made a difference for JH84 that day.

Ive seen the interview to where you talking about, lets see if they made some improvements on the bike since Spain.

Im guessing JH84 is going to push a bit more and harder then Spain, he has a healthy saturday this time

This track/facility doesn't belong on the schedule.

Edit: Well tbh i can live with the track but the facility is just not up to standard in my opinion. It doesn't look like a round of the World Championship when you watch the races.

I dont think he was looking at Vialle. He was looking to the pit lane. Seems like he thought there was another lap

Mmmm we will see.  But in the JHerlings interviews I have seen he looks happy and relaxed.

I just watched it again, it definitely looks like he’s saying something to Vialle because just before that Vialle puts his hand up as if apologising. Maybe Vialle cut over on him, who knows.

I love the track (as I do all sand tracks).  But did anyone see even one spectator? Looks like a practice track in the dunes.

How can Ducati look that bad week after week? They started with Honda frame, best suspension and their own motor but current state it seems they have gone backwards and look even worse than Beta.

I've been there in 2022, you can't spectate everywhere around the track as it's located in the dunes and parts are protected nature reserve. And in other parts where you're allowed to spectate you can't see jack shit, so no one stays on that spot. Most of the people stand on the bank where you can see the start, across pitlane, the final two corners and last straight and the finish line. Some also spectate at the left corner coming after the big table after passing the chicane after pitlane.

Small GP but very "cosy" so to say. Nice people, great weather and hey, it's a sand track!

During free practice several riders crashed in front of him, but the yellow flag wasn't waved immediately. He was unable to avoid them and crashed, after which another rider also ended up on top of him. In qualifying he also crashed hard and suffered from a severe headache afterwards.

He started race 1 anyway but after a few laps he decided to abandon the race. He won't line up today.

Speed. He's just not use to sand track like Riola.
