AMA needs to take a lesson from the FIM. They actually enforced the rules even though it was championship contenders.
I don’t think the Ferry or Webb move deserves a penalty, but the AMA needs to be consistent with there calls, that’s where the issue lies. Same move different calls. One you could say was only a heat race move but the other was a main event move which a move in the man can cost way more points than a heat race move….so yeah…..
Why? So he can break his collarbone?
You're right. It shouldn't matter when an infraction occurs. The AMA shouldn't lessen or increase penalties based on if an incident happens in a heat race or main event race. But then again, that's giving way too much credit to the AMA.

FRIESE HIT WITH HEAVY PENALTY IN DETROIT — WEBB INCIDENT ESCAPES SANCTION
Vince Friese penalized once again at the Detroit Supercross 2026 for aggressive riding, losing 10 championship points, 3 license points, and receiving a fine.
In contrast, the collision involving Cooper Webb and Jorge Prado was reviewed by officials, but no penalty was issued, sparking debate across the paddock.
I don't understand why Webb wasn't penalized based on the precedent set from the Ferry incident. This doesn't make any sense to me. Ferry should not have been penalized.
If this is the case, I'll give AMA the benefit of the doubt. Not easy to find a difference in those two scenarios.
Using the word “precedent” with anything to do with AMA decisions is laughable. That would imply some consistency after a penalty. They are so randomly stupid it is hard to even guess what will, or won’t, be penalized.
The biggest difference was the Ferry incident involved a Star Yamaha getting the bad end, the Webb incident would have had to fine a Star Yamaha. I should say a Monster Energy Star Yamaha. Before someone says "they penalized Deegan" don't forget it benefited Monster Energy Star Yamaha.
To much tin foil for me.
I can see them letting something go if it's 50/50 or even 55/45 situation and it would determine the Championship. Not the other way though. Thats about how much I think they care. Just human.
Dear vital morons... get over it !!! Is what it is, suck it up and please move on !
You sound vaccinated
Well that is one of the most stupid comments so far, well done
