Congratulations to Phil for a Top 10 finish in his "last" Pro Race! It's been awesome to see him race for so many years and transition into such a great personality for the sport the last few years. I hope he stays involved and continues to share his opinions and humor for all of us to enjoy.
Nice Job Phil!!
wicked career, enjoy retirement flithy,

He’s the man! Sad to see him go! Brayton said he should go part time and I really hope he does!!
Phil is sneaky good. Dude just earned his best national number of his career. I love his raw interviews and his willingness to call shit out. I'll miss phil saying the track tried to kill him.
The people’s champ! One of the reasons I listen to pulp is to get his take. Also he needs to be hired the riders advocate
A guy like that would be a good team manager.
Guy checked all the boxes he could and checked out. Congrats on a great career and the interview on RDL laid it out the for the world.
Does anyone have a clip of him threatening Allessi's life in Canada? Wife never saw it, awesome moment.
lining up for 25+ vet as a reigning 450 cdn champion on a factory machine RIP
😄 Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see him come up this summer to race a couple of nationals at his favorite tracks.
Running the number 1 as a privateer out of the back of a pick-up truck would be pretty cool.
He said on pulp tonight he’s going to Deschambault
Why doesn't Phil ever give credit to Tony Alessi for teaching him how to get a holeshot?
This is for... Loretta's Vet Class? Oooooookay.
I haven't listened to Pulp yet, but this is just for Loretta's and a few "fun" races? Or is the for the Nationals? I don't have social media, minus this. 😂 I'm happy to see Phil has a good program going, nonetheless.
Pit Row
What is it about that track that the retired Prows go there ? The biggest crowd of the Canadian series I think. Marv , Jimmy D , John Dowd & his ne pal all raced it. I plan on being there all week racing.
Do they give you a hard time getting the DBP Honda across the border? I'd be worried they'd confiscate since it's such a weapon.
They dont need vacant seats when the manufacturer is still paying them and or giving near factory support for amateur vet classes lol.. They can skate by with minimal effort and still whoop people who never possessed those skills.
They have places to race, but theyre over putting in pro level prep to maintain the fitness required. Their ability that they were paid to refine and master does not ever go away. Just the will to train in such manner has gone away. Their skillset is professional level and will never leave them. Therefore, telling a mortal to "work harder" to beat them could be used directed to them in the same manner because they could still be racing on the highest level with more work. That's sandbagging. Lol
This is no fault of theirs, and I respect all of their abilities. They're just playing the system thats available. The system has its faults, which is where the problem is.
Yeah Haha, I hv a plan to sneak it in hv some docs written up that it’s a trail bike & mount a luggage rack on the back. Get there Mon & sign up it’s a week long LL type of race 3 motos with 6 foot trophies. Huge trophies for the top 3. I believe they hv a lake on the huge property. Hv to brush up on my French. Phil should race his 05 cr125 . I remember reading his name in the Cyle news for dominating on it.
I'm fine with having ex-pros race LL. As long there are classes they cannot compete then it is a win-win.
Showing up and just hanging out at the races and catching with people haven’t seen in a while…
Classic Phil
I hope he has an epic summer.
Well, a decent sized chunk of the fastest riders in the world are over 30 now, so is +25 really a Vet class? Seems like the next age class after Collegeboy to me. +30 is more of a true Vet class, but there are some super fast dudes out there that never scored points.
As a 35 year old dude who races +25 and +30 after taking 15 years off racing to get my career/life in order, it doesn't bother me at all the credentials of the guys that show up. If they're better, they're better.
Your "sponsors" on Hookit will be disappointed with your attitude.
Well sir, I am my sponsor and I’ve been disappointed in myself for 35 years.
This is a valid point. The average age of the professional racer has risen dramatically and if you look outside of pro racing, guys are either still racing am events (osborne, phil, aray, marshall, etc) or coming back around after not racing for a while (weimer last year). Its cool to see from the standpoint of the sport, its more competitive than ever in that way.
+25 isn't a "vet" class, it's a Junior class. The vet classes start at +30. If I remember correctly +25 was intended to be a stop gap class between the ability classes and vet class. Now it's just another "A" class
