There's also a really good book called living the dream which follows Hitachi KTM for a season in mxgp In 2018 I think. Well worth a read.
Described by Racer X magazine‘s Davey Coombs as, “The best book ever written about the sport”.

I think Reed has one done but I thought he was waiting until deep retirement I guess to finish it off.

So far, it's quite the read. Very much a 'warts and all' biography. I doubt many riders would be as remotely honest about their mistakes, nor as (justifiably) confident in their abilities, whilst falling short of their ultimate goal.
Right at the start, you find out that his biographers first encounter with Marc, was he, the biographer, getting a bollocking from Marc for something he'd written about Marc on the Web. A rocky, but I think, a good start to a collaboration, that would be anything but the hagiography so many biographies can tend to be .
De Reuver is one of The Great Talents of Motocross, that people should know more about. I'm sure far too many on this site, would come out with something like "Marc De Who(ver)?"
The only complaint I have is that it's a paperback - I much prefer Hardbacks.
It's great to see him still involved in the sport, helping others to, as he often says, "Not Make The Mistakes I Made".
To repeat what mpy put up : https://marcdereuver.nl/en/
I see you're in New Zealand so it would cost a lot to send down there but I've definitely sent quite a few copies to Australia. If anything, you'd probably enjoy the story behind the man who wrote the book (also available as a podcast, search "We Went Fast" in your podcast player).
Kind of a long shot for who sees this and who has this book. Would really like to get my hands on the Marc De Reuver book any leads would be greatly appreciated!
Try contacting him through his FB page https://www.facebook.com/dereuvermx - the website address that mpy put up in 2022, just goes to something else now - not his fault.
Perhaps you may be able to get it from him, direct.
Pit Row
Not all motocross , but a good read.
Wide Open is a good read. You won't be disappointed.
Rob’s is definitely the best. Great content, well written, fantastic pics.
Dave Dewhurst has an amazing pictorial history of MX out.
McGraths is pretty decent.
Dave Thorpe - 3 time WC - has one out .
Kurt Nicoll’s put a few out over the years.
Dobbs is garbage don’t waste your time.
John Hopkins book is worth a mention. Grew up doing all of the so cal amateur motocross stuff before pivoting to the street side. One of the many Barona Oaks kids that actually made it. https://www.amazon.com/Leathered-Life-Taken-Extremes-Bike/dp/1788403266
This a great book. I loved it and all the photos were excellent. A great time in World GPMX.
This is another very well written and illustrated book. 1972 was my first year racing mx so I can relate.
Jeremy's book was pretty insightful. I got his autograph on it so it's special.
The Stolen Title: Gary Tippings: 9781836905363: Amazon.com: Books
Highly recommend, the history and backstory behind Jaroslav Falta's stolen championship. Learn all about communism
If you are an older rider, and the 70’s were your years, then MonkeyButt is a fantastic read ! As stated above, not all Moto, but super interesting .
The author has an unfortunate name.
