JK714 Added a reply to 23-24 vs 25-26 chain slider KTM SXF
12 hours ago The new slider may wear a little better but it's definitely thinner along the top where the long ridge is for the chain rollers. The manual still says 58 to 61 mm which is way out of date since 2022. I've seen people saying 65 was the minimum now. Mine was at 70 from the shop but that caused the...

JK714 Started a new thread 23-24 vs 25-26 chain slider KTM SXF
1 day ago The top swingarm chain slider on the newer 25 and 26 SXF is a different part number and slightly thinner than the 23 and 24. I've got a 26 350SXF and some leftover sliders from 23. Has anyone run the older slider on the newer bike by adding a little chain slack? The older ones needed 70 mm according to...

JK714 Started a new thread 2023 300SX bogging badly under load, error codes F1 or FI comes and goes
5/3/2026 4:30pm 2023 300SX with latest KTM map update, all electrical connections seem good, crankcase pressure sensor clean, fresh plug, fuel filter, fuel pump filter. Fuel pump tests perfect pressure. Have done adaptive reset and PV reset both maps with dongle after setting TPS to 0.400 V. Bike starts and idles normally, starts bogging under load in midrange at track, so hard...

JK714 Added a reply to 21 ktm 250sx refresh
7/10/2024 10:32am I've got the air box drilled out pretty healthily on top of the slots that were already in the cover. Stock Mikuni carb with 420 to 440 Main Jet depending on temperature, stock slide, stock lean needle dropped one notch, 32.5 pilot, air screw according to temperature. Runs awesome. Also have v-force Reeds but no other engine mods. Running 93...

7/8/2024 4:28pm 300 kit. Shouldn't have to rejet or change pipe. Did my 22 TC250 and love it.
JK714 Added a reply to Elbow guards
6/17/2024 8:00am I have broken my left elbow twice, once compound, so I never ride without guards. What works for me is the MSR Gravity guards which have a hard plastic shell and x-straps. I leave the straps fairly loose and wear a tight enough jersey over them to keep them tight. No arm pump issues. I tried the sleeve-type Leatt ones...

JK714 Added a reply to KTM Swingarm Bearings
12/26/2023 12:20pm If you want to avoid having to pull the swingarm and risk losing needles, as well as being able to grease it in seconds, I highly recommend the Bewlbar by Steelhorse Innovations. Replaces the swingarm pivot and inner sleeves. https://www.facebook.com/SteelHorse.Innovations/
JK714 Added a reply to KTM left side Crank Seal replacement
12/11/2023 10:11am Thanks for the tip. Just ordered one.
JK714 Added a reply to 2021 Honda CRF450 swing arm bolt
12/11/2023 9:51am In the future I highly recommend the Steelhorse Innovations Bewel bar. Replaces the swingarm bolt and bearing sleeves, lets you grease the bearings with a grease gun from both sides. No need to ever pull swingarm again. https://www.steelhorseinnovations.com
JK714 Added a reply to KTM left side Crank Seal replacement
12/10/2023 12:41pm Isn't it possible to drive 2 wood screws into the seal and pull out with pliers after removing the bolt on part of the stator mount?
JK714 Started a new thread Piston C-clip tool for KTM 300s
9/22/2023 4:18pm Does anyone know of a c-clip installing tool for the KTM 300s? The Bux C-clipper won't work, clips are too thick. Had a bad experience with Slavens EZ clips.

JK714 Added a reply to Throttle/slide stuck 2022 TC250
7/31/2023 1:10pm I respectfully disagree here. I've had all 3 setups and haven't noticed much difference in feel if everything is set up properly. The condition of the slide and needle is a big factor too. The 2017-20 setup is cheaper and makes more sense since you already have an ODI throttle, and especially if you have spare ODI grip sets. All...

7/31/2023 8:45am One other thing to check with the cable routing is that there is nothing hanging up when the forks are fully compressed. Sort of hard to test in the shop, but look for any possible catches. I had an '02 250SX with a steering stabilizer 10 years ago, and I believe that grabbed my cable when the forks bottomed out...

7/2/2023 12:04pm Brush hone works fine but go easy. 4 or 5 passes taking about a second each, using honing oil. That will restore cross hatch. No ball hone.
JK714 Added a reply to 2023 KTM 300sx potential issue (pics and video)
7/2/2023 11:56am No, I actually bought it for the 300 kit I plan to install soon on my TC250. The Vertex in the pic is from the kit. I'm short shifting my 300SX which works fine, and will get another Wossner when it's time for a top end.

6/29/2023 2:53pm Try backing the idle screw out completely, remove the spring and clip a coil off of it. This will allow you to adjust it further in. Did this on my 300SX.

6/10/2023 12:24pm Just measured it. Wossner intake skirt is almost exactly 2mm thick from the bottom of the skirt to the top of the intake port, all along the intake side of the piston.
JK714 Added a reply to 2023 KTM 300sx potential issue (pics and video)
6/10/2023 12:05pm There's several possible measurements there, depending on exactly where you look. Hard for me to make out exactly what is what in your pic. Wossner skirt bottom appears about half as thick overall and doesn't have the thick stress risers, with the forged construction and machining. They assured me they were aware of the problem and their piston was designed...
