Hi, I have a 2023 TC 250 and I’m having problems with the idle. Bikes runs fun when on the throttle but dies immediately when dropping to an idle and won’t start without throttle. I checked and replaced the plug and tried adjusting the idle screw and basically bottomed it out and nothing changed. Brought the bike to a dealer and they remapped it and went through it for about 4 hours and charged me 150$ and told me they don’t know what’s wrong with it. Has anyone heard of this problem or know how to fix this?

What kind of 2 bit dealer looks at a new bike and says “I don’t know what’s wrong, go figure it out yourself”? I’d be calling Husqvarna corporate first thing in the morning.

The dealers don’t know how to work on the new FI two strokes either. They’re as lost as the general public when it comes to fixing them. The amount of electrical connections and wires on their new two strokes defeats why most people want a two stroke. Ease of maintenance.

Honestly, you'll get a lot more info and feedback on these TBI bikes in the Facebook group.   Tons of guys with them from all over.

I seem to recall there were some guys in that group with a similar issue and it turned out to be something physically wrong/broken/misplaced or something with the idle adjust screw to where it's just not pushing far enough to hold the idle open like it should.

Try backing the idle screw out completely, remove the spring and clip a coil off of it. This will allow you to adjust it further in. Did this on my 300SX.

You could try new rings but usually when those are done it comes down to a reasonable idle, and the idle keeps dropping over a few seconds before it dies.
