Two weeks in a row, he's used the term "theirselves" instead of, I assume, "themselves." If he says it enough times, Monster may just pay to add it to the dictionary...
My favorite thing about RC is that he doesn't know the difference between singular, plural, or possessive nouns.
ONE--HUNDRED--PERCENTTT!! in--er--esting.
It was nice to have just James in the booth. Says interesting stuff. Is a joy to listen to. Doesn't force anything out of his mouth to fill air time. It's nice.

Yes...nice to have James in the booth and NOT Ricky....but James said ALOT of "wrong words" tonight. He kind of mumbled and bumbled a bunch of stuff incorrectly....if you really listened to him. It was not that hard to miss. Honestly....I think Ricky and James both suck at announcing these races. GREAT...... GREAT racers.... but terrible in the booth. It is cringe worthy sometimes to hear what they actually just said.
I don't care if James makes grammatical errors, but he actually analyzes the race and shares details we actually want to know. Ricky just regurgitates the same inside/outside BS and provides nothing of value.
Here is a tweet from RC tonight. So much insight here....
I think you’re both right. James isn’t that great in the position but even so is miles ahead of RC in the insight he adds.
James is perfect as an occasional cameo appearance.
Rc should never be in the position.
Anyway doesn’t matter we’ll have rc until the end at this rate
booooy is sooooooooooo much better to have weege and james on the booth! Notice how the broadcast is not 100% filled with repetitive RC's fillers like "Oh, X rider is so confortable with this set up", "Oh, rider y is thinking he may attack on the next lap", "Ohh rider Z knows he is in a better place this year with this bike" or Leighy (idk how to write his name, sorry). He used to be so good in Indycar but in SX is that non-stop PR talk...
SO GOOD!
We know SX fellas read this, weege, rc... THANK YOU! haha
There is nothing wrong with having a former champion in the booth but, he needs to realize he's not there to call the race, his purpose is to add color to why the riders or the bikes are doing what they are on the track. David Bailey was the master at explaining why a certain line was better or how the track was breaking down.
Yes, was excellent.
I like James more then Ricky but I think James backs himself into a corner sometimes with his analysis.
Like with Prado last night. Eli was pretty much all over him from the start and James kept saying Jorge won’t fight him to hard. Even when Jorge looked back and saw it was Eli he said yea he’s gonna let him go. That didn’t happen so he had to justify it by saying Eli wasn’t close enough. And he repeated it like 3-4 times.
He could have just said I was wrong Jorge is racing him which is clear that’s what was going on.
A dictionary published by Monster would be pamphlet.
Myself, I m not looking for a guy with a PH D in linguistics to do any announcing. I want someone that knows the sport, has a clue, a good sense of humor and it doesn’t feel contrived/ forced in what they say.
James does this all very well in my opinion. Seems like he’d be a blast to hang out with.
Ricky, for me… not so much. But it's who you know a lot of times...
I know a guy with a PH D in linguistics. He’s famous in certain circles. He’s not a fun guy to talk to. He’s actually very challenging and not at all entertaining.
It'll definitely be in
the back of my mind.
R.C.
Sayonaro!
He called Webb the 450 Supercross Tramp...
Not from the broadcast but his podcast with RV he said something like hit the nose on the head (meaning hit the nail on the head) haha
Fairly sure he asked various people "watch' ya got" at least 3 times. Must have been the new phrase from the language coach to try out.
He also copied James' "two for one special" - RC4 must have forgot his own version of this. I remember years ago, in a similar race context, RC blurted out "it's a twofer" and I fell out of my chair in laughter. I think it was mostly because I had never heard that before (seems like an American word), and to first hear a phrase like that on a professional broadcast was next level. And also because he just blurted it out with little warning.
Pit Row
I agree, does he have some off nights? Yea. But him, stew, Braylon JT, ac, can say or do whatever and I’m ok with it. It’s Diffy and Will that I can’t stand. Sounds like I’m listening to the Australian broadcast. They add nothing. .
Ricky watched the replay of Jo getting landed on and multiple times mentioned his leg getting literally crushed by the bike didn’t cause the injury but it was his leg hitting the ground…dudes leg got….landed on.
I like Brayton & James calls - sometimes it gets a little goofy with James, but overall? Those two seem to provide good insight.
Brayton seems really clean and has it together in the booth, IMO. AC could use a little more polish - but even then, he's not too bad.
Weege makes everything sound dramatic, "OMG LOOK AT THAT!" and the guy was just accelerating down a straight. Sometimes it's appropriate, but often it's over the top.
That said, I don't mind Leigh, don't mind Will, RC is... well, repetitive but good enough I guess. Nice to have the options though!
JS provides the calm voice while giving a lot of insight.
Reminds of Lou Nanne broadcasting MN hockey tourneys all those years.
RDL - "We're all feelings"
"His body position positioning"
Why does he ask himself questions in the middle of his analysis
"Fresh breath of air"
He’s the absolute worst of all time. I especially like how he repeats what everyone else says in a less polished and more inbred manner.
He’s looking over his shoulder and the reason he’s looking over his shoulder is he wants to see behind him.
Expert analysis
😂
Jett was so much better than him and diffy lol
