That is a great take.

Its basic stuff, its one thing not getting what you want, its totally another wanting things you cant have .

as JT$ says , you either want a bike that turns, or one that is low in the rear , you cant have both.

Well you can, run the rear high , with the suspension, and then drop the rear with a modified subframe. We had one that had turnbuckles on it, so we could jack the rear ride height +5 by lengthening the shock, and then drop the rear of the bike 20mm on the subframe.

The only good thing to come out of this is the debut shoot in Hawaii. Been a steep downfall ever since.

He won a race though think that's more important than a photoshoot

I'm looking forward to the progress that Marchbanks will make. He was good at Daytona but that ain't a real supercross track, but if he can do the same in the next rounds, Chase is the problem. Because in the interview from @LewisPhillips with Broc Tickle you literally hear that Broc is still working intensive together with Marchbanks. On the other side you've Sexton, who fled to the other coast and is pretty ignorant, deaf, stubborn about Tickle' his ideas and suggestions. Brings in Chiz to test his Kawasaki...

Don't know for sure but I guess it was Joel Smets who once said: "Your fastest set-up isn't always your most comfortable set-up" and he also said: "You just need to adapt yourself to the material you get". He knew what he was talking about. He raced with fast, high CC, blunt power bikes who nobody was ever comfortable on!

Rasmus Jørgensen. He also said it often goes wrong with the picky riders. From 38:20

I love that after Rasmus talks about picky riders, LEWIS of all people jokes about Sexton 😅

Kawi didn't hire him to win a race.  The expectation is multiple race wins indoors and out,  contend for both titles.

Uhhhh everyone knows that guy. I was stating that a race win is a lot more of a high than a photoshoot

I don’t think they hired him with realistic chances of a title. Wins, yes, title. Not very likely.

Yeah it would be unrealistic of kawi to expect a 26 year old who has already won indoor and outdoor title to compete for another title.

Once again, it's takes like these that keep me rooting for the guy lol

Might be the worst take I’ve seen on vital.

Sexton was Mathes, JT's and most picks for the title after Jett dropped out. Few expected Tomac on a new team and Hunter to do as well as they have.

Sexton is not getting "occasional win" money and expectations from Kawi.

They didn’t name him “ Chase” for nothing.  Chase Setting.

They don’t hire a rider of that calibre, pay him multiple millions and not have extremely high expectations. Only having One win so far has been a disaster.

Sure, they didn’t hire Garrett with championship expectations..

Tell me again what big bike title has he won where he straight up beat the best rider consistently that season. Not a title he won by the biggest title threat going out due to injury?  Yes, I am aware that bonuses pay no matter who finishes or not and there are no asterisks in record books. But I don’t believe for a second Kawi hired him with high hopes of a title. I think they hired him as the best high level rider option to win races and if all the stars perfectly aligned, maybe a title. But not a serious threat.

Sure he got paid good money. But does anyone have a copy of the contract and seen how many millions?  No, you don’t. So it’s all speculation on exactly how much he gets paid and what the expectations are.

I am not saying this season isn’t a disaster. I don’t think they hired him to win a title. I think they hired him to win races when he can.

I am guessing you haven’t been around the sport very long then.

Isn’t that the reason why they left Kawi in the first place?

It was in racer X, posted in other threads here to corroborate the Prado narrative that the team. And pulp this week and at least one other time from John Tomac.

Racer X did an interview with John when Eli signed for Star Yamaha and he was vocal about Kawasaki not doing enough and that they felt Eli had more in him which could be unlocked on another brand/team.
