It's my understanding that the diesel DPF, diesel particulate filter, (DEF requirement to make diesels clean...lol) as well as auto stop (which is kind of a vol deal to "improve" mileage...which is complete BS) are history. No longer mandated or even necessary. I have a newer diesel which has a DPF and requires DEF injection and it is nothing short of fkng retarded. I also have a Chevy Cruze diesel. I have had it in the Chev shop for over 8 months trying to fix the DPF problem. I have $4200 into it so far. I have had 3 brand new loaners for the past 12,000 miles while they try to figure out WTF is going on. Keeps getting a CEL and then limp mode. The DPF system on diesel system is a joke. Terrible idea mandated by the EPA...which sb completely dismantled.

I had to close my toy hauler sales business because of tariffs increasing the costs of the trailers so high that sales tanked.
My truck repair shop isn’t doing so well due to customers not able to afford to repair their trucks. The tariffs have been super fucking handy. They’re a YUGE pain in my ass.
