I was about to say it's unfortunate because the red flag stuff has really detracted from the better story which is what a hell of a job Jo did off the couch after such a crazy injury. Absolutely phenomenal job by that kid.
Seems to me the more rules and regulations the AMA has...the more convoluted the enforcement is.

In between all of the shenanigans its kind of getting lost how big this was for jo. He just came off a brutal back injury and only had a few days on the bike and holeshot the heat twice lol cuz the restart and then kinda won the main but got 2nd somehow. Thats pretty wild. You could tell he wasnt at full speed either. The championship is prob gonna be between him and davies.

I'm a huge fan of Jo and can't believe the AMA right now, BUT in the context of your post, don't forget Pierce Brown in all of this...he rode incredibly well too and also came back from a horrific injury.
