Might be a good idea to have that next week in Seattle.
Why not just use the tire covers we run with studs?
“Now” 🤣
That is what we call a solution looking for a problem. I see no benefit whatsoever.

Make it more like the street bike style where it lifts from both sides of the swingarm... and then add a single centered pivoting wheel

You must have missed the first Red Bud MXdN where the USA team was the only team with muddy tires.
Absolutely pointless. Can one person state a proven benefit? A lot of screwin' around for no reason. This is next level embarrassing. I bet Gajser was ashamed to be seen with this shit.
Maybe his mechanic got back pain 😅
A clean tyre instead of one filled with mud that will spin on the mesh? Not saying it's a cool look, but I guess it's a solution to their mechanic getting a bad back awkwardly lifting it as all MXGP teams do currently.
Most of the Honda Team were running tyre covers coming out of their pits.
Anything that gives you an edge, especially if it's as simple as the covers, or that 'dolly' wheel, can be of use.
They could easily make such a thing for the front end, too. Pretty bloody simple. I think they are a good idea, and, easy and cheap to make.
Something quite different, but Very useful, and easy and cheap to make and use, are the set up I've, and many others have done, to have a small wheelbarrow wheel being used in the front end of a bike, to allow them to be put into small vans. It may look 'silly' to some, but, you can transport your bike.
In the GP's the mechanics of the top 15 guys are literally changing the wheel after sightning lap, and they used to carry the bike to the gate, without the wheel touching the ground just to get that edge. Especially with the scoops. You clean the tires with wirebrush on the gate to get that esge
I personally prefer the old style...
I think only the rider is allowed past the wooden rear wheel stop as well.
Yes, even if the rider got a problem with the bike: "Riders having mechanical problems at the starting gate must wait for assistance until the gate has dropped. Once the gate has dropped, their mechanic(s) may assist at the gate. The penalty for violation of this regulation is disqualification
from the race in question."
Kramer: Hey Silvio, look at Jerry, he's a real fancy boy...
Jerry: It's European!!!!!!!!!
Team USA could have used those at the mxon in 18.
