What happened? I really hope he didn’t just quit, anyone have an explanation?

Who knows what kind of shape he was in once the adrenaline from that front flip wore off.
Just saw the replay of his main event crash on the post show. Looked like he may have gotten hit by someone behind him.
Yeah, left arm was hanging as he exited.
Why would anyone seriously think he just quit and rode off?

Well because that’s what it looked like on the broadcast, that’s why.
The post race didn’t answer the question either.
There’s unexplained DNFs nearly every round, but normally people don’t assume the rider quit.
That’s not just aimed at you, was plenty in the race thread saying it too.
IDK man, think he's got something else going on. I guess we'll find out.
So you didn’t watch the race!
That was sick. I knew he was a mad skills fan!
He has crashed in all three races now. He is cooked
Well, that's normally what they do in the kitchen.
Rode right by us holding his arm. Looked like a wrist or collarbone injury by the way he was attempting to support his arm. What a bummer.
Every accusation is a confession. That's what he does I would assume: quit.
Kitchen and Hymas both appeared to have injured an arm or shoulder in their crashes.
Hymas just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Oh boy...... post race statement his quote was that his arm "didn't feel great" so he pulled off, but it's fine and he'll be at Houston.
His holeshot device didn't release, and he squirrled out of the first turn sideways, then Rodbel hit him in the left side/arm area.
That 2024 season really was the one that got away.
Pit Row
You think he should have waited until he was carried off?
If he won this title he’d only have one more year left in 250’s. He probably wants at least 3.
Yea. If not for the McAdoo accident back then, he would sit on a 450 this season. Crazy how fast things can change in this sport.
Well, he definitely held on tight….
That can be true but he has not made it to the first corner successfully in the last 3 races. That leaves out that he has had issues in his last 5? years in the 250 class. It happens once and you can call it unlucky. These guys should know darn well what conditions they need to provide for the holeshot device to dislodge. It's not a mystery. And he should know going into the corner that it's still down. He should know what he can and can't get away with. Doesn't mean that it's easy but at some point, it's on him. Kitchen rides great and has all the skill to be even a top 450 SX guy. He just doesn't seem to have the mental. Year after year, he does this stuff. And it's not even the Chase condition where he constantly leads, charges through the pack, and biffs it. He has speed in the open field but he brain farts in every situation that matters.

Hopefully he is okay.
100% agree with you on regarding the start device. Everyone that has raced and is better than novice level knows exactly when the device disengages and knows how to ride with it if it happens to be stuck after the breaking zone in the first corner. It's not a legitimate excuse for Kitchen, to crash three times in the first corner by your own mistakes as a championship contender is just incredible.
Well there is always a next year.
What a fuck up of epic proportions
The Pro Circuit curse continues….now they got all their eggs in the Hammaker basket, good thing that guy never crashes!
Hard times being fan of Kitchen and Hymas. Man that was awful for both of them
Everyone might as well just push their bikes over when the gate drops and let Haiden go.
Not a Deegan fan, but sh*t, he is way way better than anyone else in the class. The respect he commands is crazy, he truly is the Alpha and the others submissive betas...
Why doesn't they even try some desperate crazy shit when he gets close or gets passed, not even a crazy desperate acceleration (that likely goes wrong) but they truly show beta behavior... Let the king by.
