I have never had a problem with RC in the booth. He’s a retired racer, he’s not perfect by any means , but he’s moto. I’d much rather have one of our own struggling a bit than a foreigner who went to broadcasting school.

The only issue with RC is simple. He know what he wants to convey to the audience and he seems to try to use use complicated phraseology to get the message across. KISS, keep it simple stupid, using "big" words just mucks up the thought process. Be yourself RC, relax and let it fly !!!

RC is good when he’s being himself on podcasts, I blame NBC for turning them into dorks. This is the most exciting sport for me to watch, there is no need to add drama or be fake. Just call the race and give us some real insight from a multi time champ

This was his worst night I think ever. Too many beers? Not enough? He was having legit mental bandwidth issues. Was weege in his head? Shook by greatness?
I appreciate that RC knows the riders in SMX next and spoke well of them. As a rider it must feel good that the GOAT knows and mentioned them in the broadcast. Before you say “it’s his job”, IMO he doesn’t need to as the trophy GOAT to the network.
So, Weege calling McAdoo "Anstie" - was that some of his greatness or is RC contagious? 😄

RC is not the best, but Will is unbelievable bad and I can not listen to her ramble on. Maybe we back off RC and focus on Will and maybe someone will listen. Right now it just sounds like Vital does not like anyone. Side note - Jason is awesome but seems like he lets RC have the mic more than Diffy does which is not good. Jason should be 80%, RC 20% not 50/50
At least nascar wised up enough to realize RC wasn’t any good at his job there. For some reason NBC can’t seem to be bothered to figure out he’s terrible. He was a great racer on two wheels and I’m certain he’s good at other things, but speaking during a live race ain’t it.
It's two different roles. RC is supposed to be the analyst and knows the sport better than anyone.....but he just can't convey that in real time which is what is required. All you have to do in compare him to Stewart and it's not even close. JB would be even better IMO. Regardless, RC should be on the bench or be on race day live where the instant reactions are less important. Slow it down and RC would be great.
I think your assessment is fare. I’ve realized by some of these threads about RC in the booth, is that a good percentage of the fans place a lot of importance on the commentary on race day, where as I don’t . Fact is while watching the broadcast I hardly notice it. Which is funny because I’m the complete opposite while watching football. At any rate , as stated before, I like having R/C on board, James too. For me, there’s just something about having that Star Power sitting in that booth watching the races with us , I can’t exactly put my finger on it but I think it’s cool. 👊🏻😎
At one point, RC is explaining how the heat races are more of a sprint than the main race.
As an example RCs comparison was "it's like comparing the 50 yard dash to the 100 yard dash" .

I heard the 50 yard dash/100 yard dash comparison and face palmed. He also said at one point "I'm gonna tell ya', it's an eternity to have a points swing like that in one night" referring to Chase gaining 5 points on Eli. Huh?! And he also said something about apples to apples that made no sense and made me think of the Billy Madison scene "Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!" RC is so bad it is crazy that they continue with him. I'm assuming the producers watch the shows back and go over things the following week. They clearly just don't care about the product they are putting out. If they did, RC would not be in the booth.
