Bike was stolen last night sometime between 4 PM and 6 AM. It was at my cousin’s place of business in Murrieta, CA where Edison shut off the power so someone who had prior knowledge picked the locks and knocked over his Stark Varg to get to my bike which was sandwiched in the middle of the Stark and a Honda. There was also a Honda pit bike and lots of other things that were not stolen.
My Dad passed away due to cancer on Christmas Eve so this is a tough time for me..Lord willing they get caught and the bike can be recovered. Any information leading to finding the bike is helpful and I will reward anyone who can help lead to finding the bike. Officer Lopez at Murrieta PD is on the case. Hope everyone enjoys A1 and has a great weekend.

Definitely sounds like an inside job. Hope you find the dude.
I almost feel bad for them when Karma catches them, almost.
Picked the locks? Or had keys

Man, sorry for your loss there mate..my condolence to you and your family.
I hate fucking thieves and I hope this bastard suffers the worst bad luck that life can throw at him.
Here's hoping that you retrieve your bike soon and in good condition.
Thats a specific skill set to pick locks. Not just your average thief i would think? Try to find out if one of those plumbers was a locksmith or maybe their parents were.
Try to find the plumbers names and look them up on social media. They might be dumb enough to post pics riding the bike.
fuck thieves
Keep checking marketplace, offerup etc... in the vicinity and you might spot it. I hope you get it back.
Good news regarding the bike. It was found on 12/31/25 by RSO. It was only a few miles from where it was stolen. Apparently some drug dealer got arrested and they served a search warrant on a storage unit of his and found my bike that was missing for a year and someone else’s that was missing for 3 years. 🤙
Really happy they found it. Is it back in your possession yet or do you have to wait for all the legal shit to happen?
Goodness. That is lucky and rare.
I got it. Dude left pump gas in it so I need a fuel pump and he burned off my rear tire riding in the street but it’s surprisingly intact. They pretty much just peeled the graphics off and put it in a storage unit.
Yes I’m extremely blessed and grateful.
after reading all these stolen bike threads......apple airtag(or similar) tuck it behind a side plate, airbox, ecu etc they sell little waterproof 3m cases for em....be able to track your bike for like 25$.
GPS tracker - get one.
This is Australian stuff but you get the general idea:
An Apple AirTag or Bluetooth Tile is better than nothing but if your bike goes missing you're going to want something a hell of a lot more effective.
An AirTag and almost all other Bluetooth trackers will alert thieves of their existence (ie anti-stalking). The only ones that you can turn this off on is the Tile series (eg Tile Pro).
Get one of these: https://www.digitalmatter.com/devices/yabby-edge-cellular/
Or something from: https://www.solidgps.com/
Digital Matter Yabby Edge: The batteries last for years so you can hide it well on the bike and not have to pull the bike apart to charge it or change batteries. This makes it the lowest-maintenance option.
SolidGPS: You need to charge it regularly.

I don't know who makes the device, but I see it sold in the US as Trackhawk TH07, and outside as the Yabby, the Tifiz Xtrak, LoneStar, Oyster2, etc. I believe they are all the same, but configured/flashed for a particular brand. They claim 6 years on 3 AA batteries. Now, can they be reprogrammed to send the info to your server? Maybe if you find the actual manufacturer who offers them as white labels. Not sure the format used, but I suspect you will have a standard format.
Alternatives that do work for Traccar, are Mictrack devices. They claim 7 years battery life, but don't seem as rugged as the other one. You mileage may vary. They start at $76 USD, so very reasonable pricing. And they have LTE-M (cat M1) as well as NB-IoT versions for long battery life.
As for backend servers, I only played with Traccar, but here are alternatives I heard of: Gurtam, GPSWOX, GPS-Server, Navy, Flepsi, GPS trace, GPSGate, Fleet Stack. No clue which can be isolated from internet, but worth your time to check.
