PRAYING
Just said a prayer for him 🙏
He gave a thumbs up when he was getting muled off for what it’s worth.
That looked absolutely horrendous. All the best to Justin.
Damn, they didn't show it on TV. That looked like a straight hit on his head. Prayers!
Oh man
MXA just posted that barcia can feel all his limbs according to TLD team source. ' Feel ' seems like an important distinction between ' move ' but I pray I'm over-analyzing that
"Awake and responsive." That's great, but I really noticed the omission of "moving." I sure hope he's OK.
That's as brutal as it gets. Thoughts are with him and his family.
If he did give a thumbs up, he’s moving something
That’s heavy. Tough to watch. Hope bambam is going to be ok!
His limbs are moving. Praying that since he can feel them, he will have full recovery.
That may be a case of them not letting him move in case something is broken.
I hope you’re just reading too much into it. Feeling hopefully means able to move if not broken. Wouldn’t be surprised if he had some internal bleeding and some broken bones. Looked like he did a good job of tucking his head but still took a heavy hit to the back. Prayers for Barcia. The sport is brutal every year.
Pit Row
You are right, he did tuck his head. What a pro move in a moment like that honestly.
Medical crew guy didn't seem to realize someone else besides Malcolm was down.
That one bothered me. I'm not in medical, but even I know that if there are two people hurt like that, you go to the one who isn't moving.
That was the scariest thing to see the stadium so quiet writing. Felt like watching Canard get landed on at Dodger Stadium all over again. Praying for Barcia, his wife and kids
Praying for the best. That was scary.
About 45 seconds before any personnel walked over to him from the video I saw that looked to be atleast a minute after the crash. Let alone the dirt digger trying to pick up a running bike right next to him and it almost gets away from him.
I get Malcom likely snapped his wrist/arm… but you have a dude convulsing unconscious… he could be choking on his own tongue for all they knew. Hell, Anderson was even hesitating if he should do something.
Completely unacceptable and disappointing. Huge failure in situational assessment and awareness. The racers deserve better, sure hope they can learn, improve, and be better.
This
Having worked with Astars at a few races I know that sometimes more is not always better. Too many people involved can just make it worse.
"Word from Ducati is Justin Barcia is coherent and can feel everything but is in a lot of pain and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation"

Yeah super odd as I feel like our attention in the stands were on Malcom and then realized Barcia was down also and not moving anything at all. Very scary to watch. I hope things are not as bad as they look!
It honestly was beyond weird he got zero attention for sooo long.
Man I hope he is ok. Medical aid in SX/MX is a clown show.
