We've all been there, on a road trip somewhere and drive past a track we didn't know existed and break our necks trying to get a better look, sometimes we find them and it's a public track, and some give us no clue/are private. Share yours here!

This one I came across just north of Moorefield, WV. Unsure if it's MX or some kind of truck track? Didn't get the best look but didn't notice many jumps.

This one is just off of I-64 west of Grayson, KY.

Then this one in Northeast Colorado on my way to Wyoming.

Then driving through Utah, this suddenly appeared and I somehow instantly recognized it from riding videos during the Covid residency.

Not from the road, but earlier this year I flew into Denver and spotted at least 5 tracks from the air as we approached to land. I had never seen many in one area before.

I was going to say the same thing, I saw a track descending into Denver Airport but I can't remember what direction it was, searched mx tracks on Google maps and found a few that it could have been.

I know there's more I've seen that I can't remember now, especially smaller private tracks.

Saw one off RT 4 in Florida on vacation one year, going from Orlando to Tampa.
It’s so weird how it’s such a good feeling seeing something that 99.9% of everyone else doesn’t even recognize.

Although, I do visualize tearing up every golf course I drive by!

The most striking one that I wish I could ride someday is the Malpensa track that you can see from your car window on the left as you drive down the highway from the airport to Milan, Italy. The track goes up and down a huge hill that is right there at the very side of the highway. I have passed it so many times, but will probably never have the chance to ride it.

That was I4 MX and was a public track for a short time. Most of the jump are still there just grassed over. DOT bought out some (all?) the land for drainage or something.

Our little track is next to a highway that leads to a very popular off-road area. I’d guess in the last 5 years we’ve had 400 people stop and ask if they could ride it. Just crazy.

How about this one on Deen Still Rd near Orlando. Private track, Massive house and shop on the property. Never actually seen anyone out riding it.

The Hills place in central Oregon is right off I-5 and very visible. Pretty cool to see as you’re road tripping to Washougal!

Popkum on the Trans Canada Highway just before Hope (where Rambo First Blood was filmed) is always a good view on that drive. Unfortunately the Google maps view from the road is taken at the worst possible time with the sun glare washing out most of the view.

Yes, it's been gone. It was 3.2 miles from my house. Barcia laid down the fastest lap I ever saw there on a cr125 at an llq area qfier 06-07'ish. The land owner rode so he built the track there. Then after a few years shut it down and it was a flea market for a minute. Now just pine trees growing. Jesus that was close.

I was looking around on google earth last week when I came across what looks like a small mx track just 2 miles away from me. And in a residential neighborhood! I’ve lived in this town for over 20 years and had no idea it was there. I’m still flabbergasted.

There's one close to where I grew up, in North TX, I used to see. I have an idea of who it belongs to, but definitely not sure. It's on the North side of the road on Highway 121 (not to be confused with the toll road) between Tioga and Gunter.

Quite a few years ago on a different way home from Doublin Gap my son and I spotted the nicest “backyard” track we’d ever seen. We actually turned around to drive by it again ha. It was a beautiful layout with some really technical stuff. After racing a few years and making more friends at the track we’d learned who owned it and got an invite through a friend to a ride day there two years ago. It was unbelievable. It was toned down a bit, but still nonetheless intimidating looking. After a few laps though man was that place fun. There was a big uphill triple I told my kid don’t mess with. He hucked it anyway halfway through the day. First time I realized he was old enough and wise enough to make his own decisions on what he’s capable of at the track. It sits mostly unused now as the owners son is grown and backed away from riding but we still drive by and admire it.

The original post about the track up on the hill above Moorefield, WV is the state police evasive driving training ground.  I've been told they get police departments from all over the country participating in the training as it is one of the premier training programs in the country.

Best track view in WV is the remains of Pyramid Valley located along I-79 in Lost Creek, WV.  It has been grassed over for about 10 years now.  I still pull the power hill and nail the triple every time I drive by.  I grew up riding that track.

Between Huntington, WV and Lexington, KY there is a hell of a good looking SX track in a corn field along the 4 lane.  It is on the right side heading toward Lexington.  For sure it is private but it is a killer looking track.  I've always enjoyed peaking at it while driving by.

That makes sense, it looked like a hell of a compound with the road course there too and the long straights.

I'll look for the private sx track along 64, I'll be driving that stretch of road around the holidays. The one I posted by Grayson is on the south side of the highway and looks like a fairground style track.

I've observed home tracks on google maps, locally. I was curious one day and saw several near my house. I have no idea who owns them. They're private for a reason. lol

I was headed to Colorado from SE Texas a few years ago and somewhere around Lubbock or Amarillo, right on the highway was a track that had some huge booters on it. I asked on here and someone commented that it was an ex pros track but I cant remember who.

I drive by this in NJ, doesn't look like much from this shot, but they have built it up since this was taken. I'd love to ride there...

What happened to the track in Lost Creek?  I remember driving by and seeing it prepped nice, lights shining, banners up......

Any guys from OH here?

Anytime I’m driving from Indiana to NY I always pass up a track with an RV parked next to it. It’s right  next to 80/90 highway in northeast Ohio. Always wondered what it is.

Track I always saw on our way to the cabin. I always wanted to ride it. Seems like a nice mellow supercross track. whoops against the trees. Looked a lot better when he had it prepped and no grass on the jumps yet. Just north of Webster, Wisconsin airport.

It's hard to miss right on the side of I-5 (Most wouldn't consider Yoncalla Central Oregon)
