Anyone have experience using Scarlet rims? Found on eBay, seller in Indonesia says they’re made in China, but used regularly in Indonesia without any quality problems. I’m looking for green rims, only other source is Dubya; they charge an extra $200 for green anodizing per rim. Thank…

Yea, $105 I import fee sucks, then buyer pays return shipping, which would probably be 100’s of $

Warp9 has green anodized rims . $140 each . Thy also offer Powder coated color options too.  If You have a local dealer that is a dealer for Warp9 they may also be able to get You a better price.

Stop it Joko, what about seller in Indonesia, manufactured in China makes you think it is advisable to get mixed up in this impending mess ?

Couldn't you just take your silver wheels to your local plating shop and have them anodized?

I think colored wheels have to be done right, but that bike is objectively cool

Jo, idk if this is any help as I haven’t bought rims in a while but KSR used to have a good selection and good prices. Also had great customer service.

It would depend on what's around you.

Many years ago I looked into this for someone and I was told they'd have to remove the original coating first (many have clear anodizing) and then it was limited to the colors they had on hand. It was also pricey for a one-time deal.

Probably cheaper and get a better product with new ones.

Most Tusk Impact wheels look to be the same as KKE Racing.  KKE Racing wheels are made by GLM (Parent company to Giant Bicycles)

For some applications Tusk may source wheels from different manufacturers.

The $105 shipping fee doesn't include the import fees. JSYK.
