How tf does that even make sense? One is in his 10th season and still chasing a 250 championship while the other one moves up with eventually 4x 250 titles after what, four seasons? 

Is there any chance you meant Ferrandis instead of Forkner? Otherwise I'm really confused..

If deegs didn't go heal.... omg how many fans he would have... if he would have given up the claimed bike at lorettas .... not been a steaming pile on socials and on the track, deegs would legit b the next big thing... now he's just gonna be another used up racer... who when he's older will look back with regret, instead of pride...

Yeah, Ferrandis was/is a beast outdoors and he straight up owned both Kenny and Tomac in 2021. Unreal year! But nobody here would have expected Ferrandis to only have two 450 SX podiums so far for example. If we only talk SX, Ferrandis definitely didn't live up to most of our expectations. 

Ferrandis was so much faster than everyone on the 250 in SX that his mediocre starts almost didn't matter. He just blew by everyone just like Deegan did pretty much. But once he got to 450s it just didn't work anymore. I could really see Deegan having that type of 450 career. Insane outdoor stats, maybe even win a title or two, but struggling and having super inconsistent results in SX.

I know, so do Osborne and GL.
If you tell Deegan he'll win one 450MX title but only gets 2 podiums and no wins in SX in his 450 career I'm not sure if he'd see that as "good enough"

Plenty of 250SX champions have gone on to have mediocre 450SX careers. There was 17 250SX champions in 450SX last year. Winning one regional title is not a guarantee for success on the 450.

He didn't look all that special on his 450 - general mistakes aside he just doesn't have the fluid/centred style of Lawrences/Sexton which is the cheat code for 450 success. I think he has more of a hard time adjusting to MX than you guys think. Even with a Columbian doctor making sure his late race energy stays like his 250 days, I think he gets spat off a few times more than on the 250. His biggest mistake was making himself out to be the only hope against beating Jett - the talent levels are incomparable so he will always fall short. His stature also wont help but lets see - I know RC is proof against that but I think RC and Jett are same cloth, Deegs not...
