Will any tracks be open this weekend? We're supposed to get some rain tonight but looks clear after that. Haven't seen much on the socials.
You have to call the tracks to find out.

Cahuilla should be open Saturday and Sunday, but the weather apps say some rain is possible Saturday. Debuting a new main and vet track. It could either be a little muddy, or epic dirt. Cal City is closed all weekend, and I think Perris will be open. Fox has a race on Sunday. Honolulu Hills is a maybe as well.
Its gonna happen but I'll bet that You will end up liking the New Main track even better. Amazing dirt and safe jumps with a great layout. The Vet track hasn't changed much... 2026 is getting a lot closer
Perris will be a mess if they try to open this weekend.
It would be cool if the folks from Elsinore would let us know what's going on instead of getting everyone excited than ghosting us.
Is there a reason why they've been so quiet lately?
Yeah, I agree. Unless they scrape the shit out of it which will just make it a dust bowl after 20 minutes.
Honolulu Hills has officially said they are closed this weekend. Sunfair is open and looks like they missed a good chunk of the rain.
The fact that this is still the method in 2025 is why I want to make my app idea a reality, especially for track owners
Maybe there would be more tracks if pro racers had a union lol
SRA tomorrow at GH is going to be primeee.
The tracks in the hills are going to be epic. I’m not going to be able to enjoy it, but someone will be having the time of their lives tomorrow !
California is great, I missing riding at Cahuilla, Glen Helen, E Street, Oatfield. Some fun days at Hangtown, Perris, Elsinore. It was cool to live at the epicenter of the industry.
Northeast does have this 10 months of the year though:
Epic! Rain= sand track👍
Yup, Nuevo and the high desert is cool in SoCal, but NJ (and northeast in general) gets rain year round, and the sand is WAY deeper. I just go crazy in late February when the snow won't melt...
Cahuilla tomorrow to check out the new layout!
Pit Row
It’s awesome, rode there Sunday! The new big step up at the top of the hill is the best ever, 3rd tapped on a 450 but with a huge safe landing.
CalCity is open Thurs - Sun. Pretty far for you guys in OC but it's a great track.

The nice thing about Cal City is miles of camping and trails all around. We camp out near the track. A few of us will do a few motos while others in our group that don’t feel comfortable riding the track have miles of trails all around to ride. And the kids buzz around camp all day long. Shower, bbq and beers afterwards. Repeat the next day.
Been doing the same for 15 years now. Opening weekend a few weeks ago was the busiest I've seen it in many years. Didn't ride due to a thumb injury but looked great.
3rd tapped sounds about right! Haha I was lugging it in 4th, and she takes some berries to clean lap after lap…
Must be big! Bustin spokes.. lol
Glad You saw this , its coming together nicely!
The day this video was shot was very deep and it will be even better when finally opened.
Anyone find out what they're building next to Elsinore? Bulldozers are locked and loaded
They recent video looks like it is quite sandy and the riders comments implied that at least one section was extremely sandy which would be very unfortunate for the many sand haters that liked riding the main track there before they modified the existing dirt, but we will see if in fact they eventually do reopen.
Whats the solution, make riders take a certification test to get access to a track? something easy?
A track license? I mean, you need a friggin license to go fishing! but anyone can get on a speed machine dirt bike with NO qualifications?
Every issue ML just mentioned can be prevented by using basic common sense. Sadly, that basic quality is simply too advanced for some.
So yeah, proper crew training and a one-page MX etiquette handout at the gate each time might need to be the standard going forward since very few riders seem to read the rules posted on gate booths.
One of the things that can be controlled to some degree is the people doing stupid things in the pits . Saddleback kicked out numerous people for doing stupid things, and those people typically didn't do stupid things when they came back. People do stupid things in the pits at some tracks because there is little to no enforcment at those tracks.
