As the guy who started the original thread about all the issues with these i can tell you why he bought the bike. The 250 and 450 arel awesome bikes. The fit, the feel, the ride, the way the pegs kind of force your feet into the frame and to keep your toes inside. They'r really, really great bikes to ride once they're sorted.

OP don't listen to the " you should've known crowd". Triumph has been in business for over 100 years. They are one of the most globally recognized motorcycle companies in history. They have a worldwide dealer and service network. And, they invested heavily in developing this bike and proving it at the highest level. The idea that you should've known that they would make a bIke that couldn't last 10 hours and wouldn't support it is wrong.

When I first got mine and took it out for a break in ride the idle was set really low from the shop. It would stall pretty easily. I bumped up the idle and never stalled it again. Neutral can be tough, especially when new. Mine got easier after a couple oil changes and I noticed as well to have...

Guess I was lucky. My 26 450 has been a great bike. No shifting or clutch problems. I read that others had issue with the transmission but mines been fine. 36hrs on the bike without an issue....although it has broke a couple foot peg springs which is weird. Change oil every 3-4 hrs, keep air filter clean. For 27 what...

From what I’ve heard: 250’s have notchy shifting that a Yamaha shift lever mostly remedies. Clutch is so so but the latest recall update is probably adequate but the Hinson solves it completely if you don’t mind spending the money. 450s have hit and miss transmissions and sub optimal suspension valving. Most people get their suspension done anyway. There is a fix for the transmission if you are comfortable splitting the cases. However, most people say they handle very well and have good power.

Their 250's are great and I'm guessing a few minor tweaks here and there. We have no idea about their 450 program until they recruit a top 5 rider. Haarup is currently 8th is in USA Championship which is a pretty good indicator of the performance of the bike. I think in the hands of Sexton they will be contesting for podiums. Those Triumph bikes are good. End of story.

I believe you mean the 26 450x....RC edition was the 25. I'm at about 35 hrs on my 26 and so far it's been a great bike. I know a lot of people were having issues with the transmission but luckily mines been fine. It doesn't shift as smooth as a Honda but, at least for me, I haven't had...

I will be the forst to say when you get a good one or the fixes work and hold up their great bikes. Ive got to put a couple hours on a 250 and 450(450 i did the bottom end on for a guy) Their great bikes just sucks they are still having these issues. So far as ive heard everyone that I know that has had a rebuild and repair done to them have held up. But there does seem to be a few new ones popping up still. Idk but once they get this ironed out it will...

I have a number of different pressure washers (gas, elec, etc).. but wanted something lighter, easy to pack in the trailer, no gas..etc. I bought this Ryobi from HomeDepot - Had low expectations but for $100 was worth the risk. Since buying it, I havent touched any of my other pressure washers- This thing works great. Its easy to drag around, super light and packs up in to a small tote. I use it for everything- washing the bikes, cars, boat, sidewalks..etc.. At the track it runs off a small quiet generator. I see a lot of them at the...

Maybe some bike problems?? In the main he got a crap jump but you could see his holeshot device was stuck all the way around the first turn. He did a couple wheelies trying to release it.

"saying things like "all bikes have a false nutral now and then " whats the point of saying that?" I never said that. I said I've hit neutral on just about all "my" bikes at least once. Mis-shift. Everybody who's ever rode has done it before. It's when it happens over and over or when it just jumps out of...

Lol...for some reason I don't think Triumph is worried about you and what you think. Probably more along the line of what other people reading this thread think; who is this guy? You obviously have a lot of time available.

"I wonder if the dealership put something back together wrong." Lol...ya think. I can say is I have about 11 hrs on my 26 TF450X and haven't had an issue. No missed shifts, no unexpected neutral, no clutch problems - nothing. If anything about the transmission I'd say it's tough to find neutral sometimes while stopped with the clutch in...

I agree and with all due respect to my fellow Vitards who bitch and moan on a weekly basis, come on dudes, there are way worse things going on in life than to get yourself riled up over Ricky gargling his words.

So while quitting he’s beating guys with 15 years more sx experience than him, got it. And while quitting finished 6th overall in Mx last year. Rest of the field sounds like a bunch of losers comparatively if such a trash quitter is beating them so handily? Maybe the truth is somewhere between the extremes…
