Yuk. That's ugly and the seller should have paid you $900.00 to take it. For a true work of art, look at the 1988 YZ125, pure beauty.

You're joking right? ...and those things were just a little faster than an XR 200.

Funny how so many people refer to MXA as Yamacross Action but in 93 they declared the YZ80 the fastest Yamaha in the 125 class. But then again, only $900.00 for such a rare limited edition .....

Hey I had those graphics on my 93 YZ80! I thought they were so awesome at the time that when I changed them, I took them off and used them as book covers for school.

I thought that MXA gave a positive review for the 93 yz 250 model.

I raced one half of 94 in it was pretty strong.

Didn't know that yamaha was making special editions of anything though.

I would probably put a couple more zeros in the production number.

They have recently with their "retro" color models, but it's only aesthetic changes. All '93 models were "special" though since it takes a special person to ride a pink and white bike.

That's all that matters then. It's your bike, so run it how you like it.

Congratulations on your purchase. Interested to hear more on "Special Edition" as I have a soft spot for early 90's YZ's. I remember lots of upgrades in the form of GYTR stuff, including graphics. But I don't remember any complete bikes being sold new as 'special edition', much less with those CEET graphics. Let us know what you've got on this. Thanks.

That bikes a 94 isnt it? Next generation body style after the 89-93 series.

93's were purple not pink(magenta), magenta was 92.

93 was the first of that generation of body style and the 94 had the purple frame 93 was the new style but had a white frame, that is a 93 but there was no such thing as a special addition with only 100 produced. That must have been the line that the seller made up to sell that heap for $900.

I had the same graphics on my 1993 YZ125. That's just CEET stuff. There was no special edition 93 YZ125. Sorry dude.

The biggest diff between the 93 and the 94 was the all new engine in the 94.

The 94 engine was and is the basis for YZ125 engines from then onwards. It had a guillotine power valve and finally retired the rotating drum design that you first saw on the 82. The 93 was the last engine largely based on the 1986 model.

The 91 and 92 were 'magenta'. The 93-95 varying shades of purple.

Fun times.

It was a slug for its time... good luck finding any power out of that engine.

93's had white frames. I had a 95 YZ125 and loved it. But once I got a 97 YZ125 I realized how much of a piece of crap that bike was. My 97 ripped, handled good and was thin compared to my 95.

Sure my Bone stock 93 CR125 smoked those 93 YZ125s but I always thought they looked cool.

Lay off the crack pipe YZ.
The only thing that would make this bike special is if it didn't have a VIN number on the steering head. And if it was filed off, you better hide it!
