Another great example of some dude working out of his garage with terrible business practices.  He may be a great artist, but the defensiveness around his own promises not kept is classic and way too common unfortunately.

Another 3 left that haven't gotten done? We have 2 on this thread alone.... I've gotten shit painted before and was willing to wait but it's the lies at this point. May 13th mine was just waiting on clearcoat....

Live and learn. I was ready to pay full price to have other helmets painted but at this point I'm begging for one helmet back.

The owner of a company I worked for a couple jobs back asked if I wanted to know what the secret to his success in business was, which of course I said yes. He said, "always do what you say and always do more than you said". The business itself, be it inventing a magic widget, or starting a lawnmower service, is meaningless. Just do what you say and put in that little bit extra, and you will be successful. This helmet painter guy does neither, which is why he's having these problems.

That was a roller coaster of a conversation! You went scorched Earth on the guy at the end. I get your frustration because it really sucks and he didn’t handle it well. But somehow I feel kinda bad for the painter because that last message was harsh. 

Dude gets no sympathy from me. He was terrible to deal with AND didn’t do the job right, that’s a double whammy. Plus you can’t message customers like that, you really just can’t.

Honestly it’s not that bad. The color choices are definitely clashing but the kid obviously has some talent to do some of the stuff he did on it. Interesting he made some of the blaring mistakes without fixing it, there’s some nice details on it though. 

Except its not a kid, its an over 40 year old man with the maturity of a kid. 

Here's our conversation. I went the nice guy route because I was pumped for a helmet but 11 months is ridiculous and it's excuse after excuse. December 10thth is when the helmet showed up at his door.

Didn’t even realize he was from FL until I saw a post in a local riding group with even more victims from this jagoff. I recognize his name but don’t think I’ve ever met him. 

The overspray on the rear vents is a nice touch. The fact that it’s a completely random paint job with a universal text of your last name on the side, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was intended for someone else at originally.

He can't even spell "graphics" correctly.  That should have been a big red flag.

I completely agree. I just imagine the painter crying when he read it. I feel bad for him but he definitely screwed up and handled it really poorly. Something is clearly off in the painter’s life. I think I would have done exactly what this guy did and just told him to keep the helmet.

Accountability does not exist in this dudes vocabulary. Using his divorce as an excuse for no communication and shoddy quality. Either refund them and send their shit back from the get go, or figure it the fuck out.

This guy is an absolute Gem. It makes it even better it’s connected to j law so all his fans get fucked. They shoulda just tossed the $338 into his go fund me charity case.

LoL..."Dan Yannone" has a FB account and has a post about his paint biz.  Since he doesn't have his page locked down at all at this point, you can easily comment on his great work.  A few have posted there recently, I pasted a link to this page on a few of his posts.
