Husky bikes are good. I have the HC7. 180mm travel fr/rr. Rockshox suspension. Decent brakes and drive train for sure. I really like the bikes. The Shimano EP8 motor is it's only minor downfall. Not that the motor won't do what you want...but it def not in the league with say the Bosch CX. Overall, Husky emtbs are incredibly durable from my experience.
My son had one and liked it, but the speed sensor was constantly failing.
Main issue with these and the gas gas e-mtb's are that they are orphans since they won't be continuing making bicycles anymore. Luckily all the parts aren't made by them but the frame and possibly some suspension bearings etc will be proprietary to them and maybe the batteries as well. Hopefully they kept a good stock of parts to keep them going for a long time.
I have my 2004 KX250 on Marketplace and some guy wanted to trade me the MTB for it. I think i am going to pass. I already have an Ari E-bike that I am pretty happy with.

I have quite a few emtbs. My personal favorite is still the Intense Tazer MX-Pro. Dual crown fork, full Ohlins suspension with a coil shock. The frame geo is butter.
Lol...who down votes this? Da fuggg??
I'd go with the GasGas bikes that have Yamaha motors and high end components. I have the Trail Light 2.0 and it's super awesome. Parts are still available.
My brother has like a ‘22 husky e-bike the one with 200mm dual crown forks and shimano ep8. It’s pretty decent and way overkill for pre riding off-road tracks and stuff lol another buddy just bought a 24 hc4 on sale. It’s good so far too although I haven’t rode his. One thing i will say, compared to the Yamaha e-bike the husky doesn’t turn sharp at all!
I have the GasGas ECC6 and it is incredible. But it is really big - I have an L-XL (how they are sized) and it is almost as long as my EXC/XCW/SX. Granted I am almost 70 now so am not "Send-It" on the downhills, but the motor, battery, suspension, brakes are all pretty awesome. I am not worried about the non-component parts though. It has the SRAM AXS full electronic system. I always declared bullshit on that stuff but now that I have it I am very impressed.
the rug really ties the room together
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"
You have excellent taste.
Nice. The Intense has the EP8 motor and so does my Husky. If you rode the two back to back, you'd swear the Intense has a different motor. Probably in gearing and maybe in the electronics. You can BT adjust the motor on the Intense...the Husky HC7, not so much.
I spoke to someone at Intense a few weeks ago. The new Tazer sb out in early 2026. They wouldn't tell me outright, but I think it'll have a Bosch motor. Hopefully the DC fork is also a keeper.
Thats strange you can't adjust the motor in the husky. Are you sure it isn't a EP6?
It's an EP8...on the HC9 it was adjustable. Maybe the new Husky's it is fully adjustable on some models, but probably not all. But the bike I have (HC7), it's def not BT adjustable. It would take a different controler and electronics to convert.
I have the HC4, only issue I have had is the bottom triangle bolt came loose and the frame broke. The dealer said it would take care of it but had a trip to Utah in a few days so I took it apart and had it welded.
I’ve got the same bike and love it!
Just to answer alphado's question, Yes - those Husys are just fine. The only components on it that are questionable are the SRAM brakes, which are the model everyone loves to hate. (But if you've never experienced good MTB brakes you wouldn't notice.) The wheels, tires, drivetrain and suspension are all mid-level, "good" quality.
I just got back from a visit to the Commencal outlet and the guy there showed me a "coming soon" Meta SX Power with the DJI Avinox motor in it. That thing is BURLY.
Pit Row
Yeah if it doesn’t have the display like the tazer that’s likely the issue.
I just came off a mc5 and got this.
Dji motor is very nice.
Had the husky for 4 years, no issues
Man they are so sweet, they're not in New Zealand so might grab the Velduro Rouge, my levo is getting boring now. Congrats on the new Forbidden.
No way would i buy a Husky or GasGas e-bike now in this market. First, PMG is pulling out Husky and GasGas from the bicycle business. So you're fucked with any warranty cases regarding the bike excluding third party components. Secondly the bike segment is hurting, a lot. You can find great deals on "proper" bike brands that will most likely stay in business for years to come.
In short, i would only buy a Husky or GasGas if the price is so low that you're basically only paying for the components (drivetrain, suspension etc).
Its a Taiwan made catalog frame with components bolted to it, basically the exact same thing as every other "proper" bike brand short of a few.
Yeah i know the bicycle industry very well. That doesn't change the fact that the PMG bike brands aren't a thing anymore (except Felt i think?) so nobody should buy those bikes unless the price is so good that you basically pay for the components and a couple of hundred bucks at tops for the frame.
Yeah my dad actually just bought one a few weeks ago he paid $2000 for it which I think his fair. I was annoyed he didn't talk to me first but I think for what he wanted to spend that was his best option anyways. Frames seem very overbuilt so I don't think a frame warranty would be a big deal breaker but we will see.
I’m riding 3/4 days a week.
This is the same reason I got into EMTBs...MX injuries. I rode MTBs for years, but emtbs are a friggin blast on a different level. I don't ride them for any kind of excercise, I ride them for fun. Anyone who has never tried an emtb, I highly recommend it.
I live in a metro area and just starting to embrace all the mtb opportunities just miles from the house. The little bit I’ve tried an emtb at scrambles, it’s really got my interest peaked. The non motorized recreation people are something else though. Maybe not everything needs to be “accessible”.
First - Its not 2014 anymore. People aren't running around snapping rear triangles and frames left and right. Second - Of the people i've known who have broken frames they have overwhelming been 1) carbon and 2) told to kick rocks by their "proper" bike company.
