What does he do next season? Damn shame he hasn’t tried to head to Europe for MXGP, he’s made for it

The issue is every team he's ridden for has been left with a bad taste in their mouth and his family has a rep of being super difficult to work with. He also hasn't produced results in SX so building a practice track is great and all but that doesn't mean anything until he has some proof.

Remind me of his best season finish in a SX series? Has he ever even made all of the rounds?

I’ve been saying he should give the 450 class a go up in Canada. No sx and he can do his thing in Texas with his pops for most of the year. He would probably battle with Wright and Petis for the championship and make decent money imo.

The 2022 Outdoor 250 that was “bone stock”?

Masterpool is a joke.  Results are al over the place with all kinds of talent but clearly can't "be told what to do" or communicate with teams worth a damn.

Have you heard an interview with the guy? There isn’t a lot going on between his ears. It’s no surprise every team he rides for ends like this.

This was surely his last shot. And one he was lucky to get. He won for PC and got a deserved seat for the year. He hasn’t done anything until the last rounds of SMX. Such a bizarre career.

Hopefully he goes back on a privateer 450 outdoors and makes lots of fans again.

Expanding on that, Mitch allowed him to train on his own in Texas and the Masterpools weren't communicating with the team during his prolonged injury until they said they're ready to race 4 days before the next national. That was not enough notice to get the logistics in place to have him ready to go for them that weekend. Then Ty goes on to say later in multiple interviews that he would've returned to racing earlier but PC wouldn't let him.

Prime example of why PC prefers to not let their guys just go run loose on their own programs. Mitch let up on that because it was working for other riders but Ty took advantage of it and tanked his results (and reputation) in the process. It's a great example of giving someone an inch and they take a mile.

I don't get why they're so hard headed that they'd lose a rider instead of changing a different program?  What good is sticking your program in TX if you have no ride.

Crutcher, can you give us a little more as to what went down?

Totally cool if you don't want to elaborate further. I'll understand.

This thread is the first time that I've heard/read the he and his family are difficult to work with.

Edit - spelling

Great idea- he would crush it up there and could do it and keep Texas as the home base

Really? Feel like its been out there for awhile about it being hard to work with him and his "team," we'll call them. So much that a lot of people were surprised he got the PC ride. Doesn't look good that after getting a second chance with a team like PC, it still seems to be the case. Just my opinion, some rando on the Internet. Seems to be some people in the know in this thread on both sides of this

Really? Yes Sir, I obviously have not paid enough attention. On a good day the lad can ride but for the most part he has not delivered. Other than that, l I know very little about him and his team (family etc)

Moving on, this is going to be a bastard hanging on until A1. I missing the weekends racing already.

Aagh well...only like another 80 odd days to wait...

edit - trying to fix piss poor grammar

I've was a fan after ride he had at Red Bud in '19. The famous holeshot he pulled and pointed to the sky. I believe the rub on him back then was him and the family weren't interested in him riding sx. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. I dont know why they didn't try the GP's way back then if sx wasn't a priority. Yeah, going across the pond is really stepping out of your comfort zone. But if you wanna stay in the US you gotta ride sx. Cant have it both ways. Love watching him on a mx track and we've seen him ride the hell out of a 450 already, too

His brother was an up and coming amateur star and lost his life racing. Maybe his family has trauma from that incident and the thought of their other son, doing the same sport, training not under their watch terrifies them. It has to be hard for Ty to some days get on a bike knowing the sport took his brothers life. People are complex and life is hard and we act a certain way due to past experiences, traumas, lessons. But yall act like their so shallow and hard to work with just because. Guarantee it goes alot deeper than what youre seeing on the surface and give them a little grace, especially if you do not know anything than what youre seeing on Vital.

All I know is we know nothing at this point...

We have not idea whatsoever whether he is in breach of contract or not.

A lot of speculation here...

I think Anderson is on the Twisted Tea side unless they are restructuring the team as a whole.

Regardless, Ty deserves some sort of ride with the results. A lot less capable riders still have rides on some level.

That's fine if you have big time family money. At some point Jurr won't be around and maybe his boys will have to generate income on their own.

You have no clue what his agreement with PC is or when exactly his contract expires. Mitch could have told him to keep riding until he has new bikes for all we know.

It's also very clear you've never met the family.

I know the top statement is not true, as for being told to ride them until he has a new bike, based on Mitch’s interview.  Mitch seems to be one of the very straight shooters in what he says.  Maybe there is a deadline that hasn’t been reached, but it would be smarter to just do it when you got the crates and they obviously want their bikes back.  Repair bridges….don’t just put more lighter fluid on the ashes and light the fire again.  It’s a relatively small industry, and reputation is earned….for better or worse.

Last year they only had 4 riders  for WSX, 2 in 250 class and 2 in 450 class. Believe that's a requirement for wsx teams.

They only had 3 riders for AMA SX - Roczen= Progressive side and Nichols/Chisholm = Twisted tea side..

disgraceful thread. . . reads like a sewing circle of old ladies tripping over each other in their rush to spill some tea.

I bet Masterpool would lap every single one of you in a 30 minute moto - some twice
