Isn't Jens Walvoort aging out?

Walvoort is from 2004, so if my math is correct he should have 2 years in mx2

I am not sure how many more years he has left, but I could see him and his team not doing MXGP next year.

That would be a shame, he is  a decent rider ... MX2 version of Jan Pancar

Why would he not continue to run? If i'm not mistaken his family has money and his manager is funding and running the team.

What I don't get about the whole Renaux leaving Yamaha-thing is the "aggression" in it. Yamaha wants him to buy out his contract and if he doesn't, he has to stay. What's the strategy here? Keeping a rider in your team against his will? How will that be beneficial for either side? "A happy rider is a fast rider" goes the saying. If you force a rider to stay, I doubt he's a happy camper.

Yamaha probably have received funding, and/or has funding coming as part of their budget that they will need to pay back if he leaves. Might impact the overall budget in a negative way if its not 1:1 with costs that disappears.

Same as for Prado.

But Renaux only got the ride because he won a championship, and it was in his contract that he would have a 450 ride if he won.  He has done 4 seasons and achieved very little, apart from a few race wins , against a back drop of long term injury, and now he might actually be fit , he wants to leave ?

I get why they are wanting cash.

Adamo won't turn 23 until August 2026, so he still has one more year in MX2 (if he wants / can).

Adamo will ride MXGP category next year.

And De Wolf stays in 250 one more year? That doesn't make sense..

Yeah Kay needs to move up. He will just stagnate if he races a 250 in the GPs in 2026.

Just after MXoN sunday races, Renaux said to french media that he has still a lot of work to do with his bike (during the off season) to be confortable with.

So, it looks like he will stay with Yamaha, after all...

I've heard that rumour last week as well. Would be a kinda weird move, unless there is a strong base money wise in the team.

Another rumour that I've heard; Van Doninck tested the Beta and has an option to go there

I'm so curious to know what happened with Cas towards the end of the season and why he can't stay with Van Venrooy. He seems like a very good and hard working dude. But for a Dutch team, to drop a Dutch talent like Cas. Just odd...

I dont think the problem was with the team but with KTM. And KTM and Cas wont continue, resulting in him not riding for van Venrooy.

Valk would be an upgrade for TM, so i for sure understand it from their perspective. He is also familier with italy and italian teams, spending years in italy during his emx days. Have to say i don't understand it from Valk though.

What I heard on Belgian and Dutch races is that the dad is quite a pain in the ass and complaining a lot on the bike. But I’m not sure, as they showing as a nice family.

Any idea when the PR from Gajser, Herlings signing for new teams etc will come out?

Officially their contracts expire end of 2025, but I expect the PR earlier than that.
But when exactly, no idea...

There didn't seem to be an issue at the start of the season as Cas was always around 6th to 8th. Who knows... Would be great for TM though to have a rider of his calibre though.

Sounded like KTM/papa Valk were not on the same page with a few things. Maybe KTM overpromised, maybe not, but sounds like they needed to split. The TM situation could be very good for Cas if he does well. Just hope the bike is good enough.

Yes maybe the TM is decent and he gets decent results. But I'm not sure how it could be "good" for Valk.

Ktm/hqv has been the factory you want to ride for in mx2 for a long time now. I dont see how ending that relationship is a plus for him.

Long long time ago when Samuele Bernardino rode for tm...he did pretty good races and his bike was something else

Bernardini never was a top 5 rider. He won one race in the deep mud of Indonesia, and that's about it.

Mikula did pretty good everything considered with the TM this season. But that team also didn't had the budget to do the last 3 GP's. I don't think that Valk's goal is to miss the overseas because of budget constraints. And because of that, a decent result in the championship. Going from semifactory KTM to factory TM is a downgrade in every possible way, don't make yourself any illusions.

Whatever happened to him, victim of the the 23 yr old rule and no 450 ride? I thought that bike was pretty cool with the dual exhausts and everything, Bernardino had some good rides on that bike.
