Is this going to be the Deegan 450 story

Yeah yeah another Deegan thread......

After seeing Levi take Haiden out and cost him a shot at the SMX title, could this be the start of a story we tell over and over? Do we see more guys putting one on Haiden, sending him over berms and costing him titles after years of the way he has acted towards the rest of the paddock and the somewhat "I don't care about or respect anyone else" attitude he has run. I don't see 450 guys taking too well to him.

Do we see him not reaching the potential number of titles that we expect because of interference of others? Haiden had pushed other guys around and Levi got him back when it mattered.

I feel like he has created more enemies on track along the way than we have seen previously from any athlete in a while.

I'd say the thing that will cost him titles will be Jett. Hes not as good as him and he never will be. But, no, it wont help that the entire field doesn't much like you or your bullshit

I think he should quit and move in with Jake Paul and start taking boxing more seriously since he’s not cut out for a smx champion in the 250 class.

Brian's Douchbag-centric marketing is played out. If Haiden was smart, he'd leave the rotten nest that his douchebag father built.

Ahh yes the 450 story. The one where the young up and comer decimates his competition with sheer speed and grit. We’ve seen this time and time again.

I respect the hell out of Jett and Hunter, but the only one who has anything for Deegs is Deegs. He’ll be his own enemy at times, just like James Stewart.

Deegs will be the new Jett, just watch. And remember, I told ya so. These next 5 years are going to be something for the moto history books.

You’re dreaming kid. Never thought I’d be a Jett fan, but I know who I’ll be rooting for if Haiden manages to get remotely close.

I figure he can ride a 450 as well as he rides the 250.  He'll be up near the front from the get go.  There's no denying his ability and determination...that is not his problem.

I could see Jett out front and definitely Haiden and Hunter getting into it a lot. Both guys are a little pipey and aren't afraid to give it back. 2026 SX should be good....

I think Deegs is riding 250SX and moving up for outdoors.

Deegan isn’t some generational talent. He wins in a 250 class that isn’t particularly strong.

Jett won’t even think about him

That’s fine, but what will you do when/if Deegan proves you wrong? Will you be mad about it? Or will you enjoy it for what it is? Quit watching all together? I’m genuinely curious.

Have you not seen Jett ride? Home boy is perfection on a dirt bike. Haiden fuckin sends it and has a will to win like we’ve never seen(maybe Ricky), but I’m afraid he’s going to have to settle for the best of the rest; maybe.

If the kid was such a badass he’d be lining up @ A1 on a 450.  But he isn’t so that makes him a chickendick in my book.  Sorry, a frail and stupid chickendick.

I don't  think the whole 450 class is going to gang up on him.  I think  it will be handled  on a 1 on 1 basis.  If he rides someone dirty, they will ride him rough back.

Think about who he will be racing against  in the 450 class though.  He won't  be racing 450SX until 2027.  I expect several of the veterans  of the class to be gone by then.

I will  not be surprised if a couple of the guys like Barcia and Anderson give him a little  hazing though if he gives them 1" of trouble.

In general  though, I think playing the heel will make it very difficult  to win titles  in the 450 class.

The thing is, I don't think the field has seen Jett's full speed yet. Jett isn't like JS7 where he wants to beat the entire field by over a minute, Jett only goes as fast as he needs to in order to win or reach a position where he will take the overall. We have seen glimpses of it, but never a full on display of complete and utter domination of the field. Most of the 450 field is not going to welcome Deegan with open arms. Most already do not like him or his entourage. The only people I see clinging to that whole scene are privateers looking to boost their own YouTube channels or monetary value by leeching off of him. I'm sure Brian will begin his whole façade of sucking off the industry again to be buddy buddy with potential future employers like he did when Haiden was rising through the amateur ranks to gain sponsors.

One of his biggest assets imo, is his momentum. He’s had a couple of big ones, but this is his first injury(?).

Looking at the field around him, the contenders he’s been up against, they have all had numerous injuries, team changes etc.. except Vialle?

Injuries, especially back to back, kills so much momentum, increases self-doubt and second guessing when it comes to absolutely sending it. Deegan doesn’t have that yet. A couple of injuries, or difficult years, and his career can quickly go the other way. Especially with the distractions they seem to welcome.

Friese isn't a threat speed-wise. Once the fast guys get past him, they can gap him. Haiden, not so much. You would have to punt him or put him down to get away from him. If he starts riding aggressively, I could see guys doing that to him.

Best case scenario is Deegan will be the reason Jett matches/makes records. The only trouble Jett may face in his career is motivation, many people know this is the pitfall of being as dominant as he is in such a short time frame, even Jett himself has admitted to needing to "try harder". Deegan's step up to 450 will be the motivation Jett needs to give 100% and leave no doubt as to who is the generational talent and who is an overrated cheater with a psycho family and braindead fanbase. Only problem is we have Chase, Hunter, Eli (for 2 years) and others who might be above Deegan anyway, in which case the motivational issue may persist.🤭

Most of the 250 class is made up of young racers that have 1-3 years of professional racing under their belt. The 450 class is full of the best riders in the world. From a riding standpoint, Deegan is one of the fastest in the world... With the experience the 450 class has... they know how to handle situations and riders like this. Some take a more aggressive approach (Anderson / Barcia) and some take a more tactile approach. Whatever the case, its stepping up to the big boy class and he will find dirty tactics wont help him out in the long run. I also feel the AMA is much more attentive to the 450 class. These are marquee (and some generational) riders that brands pay big money to and want protected. If Deegan tries BS against a Tomac, Sexton, Lawrence, etc... the AMA (hopefully) will come down much harder.

I am not a Deegan fan by any means. Racing should be a gentleman's sport performed by gritty professionals. Rubbing is racing, but should be done with respect to safety. Deegan does not have any of those qualities.

I also haven't been following the sport as much as I used to, hung it up due to injuries a decade+ ago, but remain an avid fan. I don't recall Deegan being a "dirty" rider to the extent of Friese or even Barcia (in his hay day, he seems to have calmed down). I think his image is forever tarnished and I think it is a bad move from any OEM to support his BS. I hope he can reset over the summer, grow up, see his family is toxic, and become a fun rider to watch. At the end of the day, casual fans don't follow the behind the scenes stuff and we just want to see good racing.... not dirty racing.

The dude melted down so hard over claimgate he changed screen names (because a gt80 is a Yamaha product) and lead everyone to believe he had committed suicide because Magoober was mean to him. Drama is his stock in trade.
