Our shooting instructor was almost killed carrying a P320 last year. Gun went off in his holster. Severed his femoral artery. Dude spent 4 weeks in ICU and almost died.

I’ve got my sig p320 and my sig m18 sitting on a shelf in a few discreet places in my house only for home defense. I do not carry them and will not in the future.

We are not allowed to carry them on our church security team.

For my daily I carry a Sig 365XL or a Sig P365 macro.

I won’t carry the 320 or the m18.

What kind of church do you belong to that needs a security team ?

What kind of church? One that isn’t naïve enough to think evil takes Sundays off.

While you’re busy making snide comments, people have been murdered in churches during worship, kids have been dragged out of nurseries by abusive parents, and unstable individuals have opened fire in congregations. That’s not theory — that’s documented reality.

If you can’t grasp why a group of people gathered in one place — publicly advertised every week — might need protection, then you’re out of your depth. Evil doesn’t care about your opinion, your sarcasm, or your lack of awareness. It only cares that you make an easy target.

We have a security team because burying church members is a high price to pay for pretending the world is safer than it is.

We have a few churches out here that pay overtime for police to patrol the property during worship times. Anytime something happens between Israel and the rest of the Middle East, we have to do property checks at worship sites for both Jewish and Islamic buildings. Kind of sad it has to be a thing.

I love the Glock 17c with trigger work and a grip sleeve. Fits in my hand perfectly. I also really like the Springfield xd9m. Such an accurate hole puncher. My buddy is in a club where they trade weekly and he brings them to my ranch so I've had the pleasure of trying about everything you can think of. I have to say I've tried a dozen different ak47 and I am amazed at how simple but accurate they are. No wonder they are used in so many wars. My neighbor at my main house has millions invested in firearms and built a million dollar guest house with a soundproof indoor range just for his collection. Its pretty incredible.

I have a friend that’s part of the security team at a church not far from SMF…

They have that team for a reason: attacks on churches.

Now, maybe you’re not familiar with this…but, it’s a thing.

And it ain’t gonna be a thing at the church I’m talking about.

AKs are so much fun. The sound they make and the recoil is unlike anything else IMO. Honestly theyre great guns

I get the desire for something different, but what reason is there to buy anything other than a Glock or s&w m&p for a composite body pistol?

Different folks look for different things. When I got started with Glocks, a friend had a 10mm that he carried for his job. I got to fire it at the range and absolutely loved the action and the “pop”. It fit my hand (I’m a medium glove) and gave me excellent round placement/shot control. I really lied that. I was advised, wisely, against the 10. That turned out to Be a short-loved gov’t experiment and the .40 is really just a “short 10”.10s do have A LOT of pop, tho!

I immediately asked for a 9 (m17) and quickly got a .40 (m22) and a mid frame 9 (m19), too. Got the mini 9 (m23) as soon as it was avail. Long barrel .40 (22L by Aerotek) just for fun and a coupl’a others that share the mags I have (got them at contractor pricing; so, I jumped in🤣).

I’ve done all the approved mods and parts changes(Wolf & Aerotek)…extended this…Ti that…sites(issue) that truly work in the dark…yada, yada, yada.

Truth be told, they’re just like our bikes…you gotta build what’cha like. 👍🏼

I personally don’t like internal hammers.  Probably irrational.  But that lead me to the P938 for my carry and the P226 for my full size.

And my wife’s 320.  We love it at the range, but don’t carry it.  She is a Glock girl at heart.

Seen a few technical vids on this issue over the last few months and am far from convinced it's down to negligent discharge/user error - in other words I personally wouldn't trust this firearm. And now a U.S Airman has died, apparently killed by his still holstered Sig... They should gone with the 19x imo.

Lessons learned the hard way. 19x is fantastic and the 43x is my favorite edc

I'm a Glock guy.  Change to proper sights and you have a very solid tool.  My m19 and m26 are older gens, but I can't see trading off for something newer or different.  After breaking in, about 50 rounds through each, they have chambered, shot, and ejected many different brands of 9mm luger without fail.  Plus, they are so frigging easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble.

That 226 Legion is a sweeeet shooter. I've also shot the Legion SAO and it was a dream as well.

That's pretty unsettling about the problems with that model.  My friend came over today and we went through a lot of larger capacity ammo. I didn't get any footage though because we kept dodging rain storms but it was nice and cool the whole time, well anythings cool when its 108° feels like temperature every day.  Good times.

For a long time glock had nothing smaller than glock 26 for carry and nothing in 380. I carry in front pocket a lot and just not an option with a 26. S&W shield you could pocket carry but wasn't comfortable. So I ended up with other brands just because they offered things that filled a need better.

As far as full size pistols, bunch of glocks with magazines that you can use in all of them is great and I'm all for the KISS approach, definitely what I'd tell someone looking for do it all first pistol to get, but I enjoy shooting my HK VP9 more and shoot it consistently better than any full size glock or M&P and don't feel it has any real disadvantages by comparison, so that's my go to the last several years.

They're all great and thankfully there's plenty of room left in the closet to keep adding more.

I've owned and  or put rounds through Glocks, HK"s,Berreta's, S&W M&P, Sig's , Taurus etc..

I currently own a Sig P320 and seriously love this gun but as a rule don't carry with a round chambered.

Super solid gun and shoots very consistent.

If I had to choose it would be HK first and Sig and/or Sig Glock second depending on how it fits your hand.

My 320 is full size and its still smallish compared to the 226 which is the Sig standard IMO.
