I was there. It was 4 years ago and a single event. He's one of my favorite riders but he simply needs to perform better.

I know he's had a lot of injuries but to say he can clearly ride a 450 on the strength of one good ride in three years is a bit of a stretch. Some good 250 guys just don't take to 450s and it looks like Geerts is one of them.

Not sure i agree with that. He may just be a 250 specialist.

He’s good on the 450, that big elbow injury at the start of MXGP 2024 killed his career completely.

I'm not certain it's done. His Spanish qualifier win and his better result  of late (until his big get off at Lommel) indicate he was finding some of his old form. We'll have to see...

I feel so bad for Geerts. He has so much more in him than he now is able to show. Really hope he land a decent bike for next year and that all the bad luck is over. Most of the time faster then Vialle in the GP's. But look at the difference in accomplishments. Jago has a lot of GP victory's but Vialle has 2 world titles and 2 regional SX titles. I wonder how Jago feels about this...

He’s not done indeed, but that crash gave a  180degree turn to his confidence and results the past 2 (1,5) years.

I think a B team would be happy to take him on for 2026 and maybe that's what he needs. As mentioned, the injury in Argentina last year really derailed things.

Just wondering if there are many b-team option for Jago. As in teams that do the full championship and where Geerts would be an upgrade to what the teams now have.

I think Jago at the right B-team could be a strong combo, imo Geerts can do much more on the 450 compared to what we have seen.

He could swap places with Gifting 😊

I can see Geerts in Jacky Martens team (not info, just speculation). Full 450 rooster alongside Van Doninck if the team become Fantic factory team.🤔

Beta: Forato and Guadagnini

Ducati: Jeremy Seewer, Andrea Bonacorsi , Glen Coldenhoff?

Jacky Martens Fantic?

Maddi Honda mx2?

Triumph 450 2027 Fevbre?

Saw something like Maddi moving into Beta, not sure if that’s correct.

Ducati with Seewer and Renaux probably as well.

If Forato and Guadagnini are at Beta, where's Watson likely to end up then?

I think Watson still has a deal for next year at Beta

I thought so, and Koch has also a 2 year deal if I’m right.

i think Geerts and Martens would be a very bad combination. I don't think Martens hard communication would work with Geerts.

Geerts to de Baets, next to Bervoets would be more suitable imo. That being said, VanDoninck definitely deserves a ride

I think he will get the first and only spot if they continue with the MX2 program. 317 is on the move..

In the Unadilla Press conference Vialle pretty much talked like those are his last races in the US, so his move to HRC is a done deal and not just a rumor anymore I guess then, right?

He used to be the top mx 2 guy after Vialle.
Jago actually came to California in late 2021 and was just shredding locally on a borrowed Yamaha. Nice guy,  but a man of few words.

ever since his crash at the opener in Argentina last season, he has not been the same rider.

Maybe a reset on a Star 250 would bring his confidence back, if he could handle the higher temperatures  in the United States.

Jago is the European version of Austin Forkner, he had  5 goes at MX2 on the best bike in the best team , and never got a championship, and while you wouldnt have expected him to win in year 1 and 2 , he was fast enough, but just couldnt stay off the ground, when he needed to.

Nothing he has done on the 450 has shown me he has changed.

Great rider  , just had some tough opposition, and didnt get the job done when he had the chance.

Probably not the best bike. Definitely not the best team.
